Edit; I forgot to define the logical fallacy.
Ack! You just pointed out something that I had not thought of before.
Our nation is suffering from a massive case of non causa pro causa, the questionable cause fallacy.
post hoc (hÅk, hÅk)
adv. & adj.
In or of the form of an argument in which one event is asserted to be the cause of a later event simply by virtue of having happened earlier: coming to conclusions post hoc; post hoc reasoning.
If our country turned away from Dem majority, it would be a case of Post Hoc fallacious reasoning. The idea would be, "The terrorists attacked us because democrats were in the majority"
This would also have the single cause fallacy because there would be multiple causes, mostly including events unfolding on the other side of the ocean (for us Americanites).
Come on, if a terrorist attack alqueda inspired happens to happen on American soil, it is because the terrorists decided and acted. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not the Democrats happen to have a congressional majority.
I don't get you people. Bush repeatedly ignored the dire warnings of Tenet regarding possible upcoming attacks on buildings with airplanes. He totally disregarded the all the increased chatter. He dropped the ball, and quite possibly did so deliberately to bring about another Pearl Harbor, which he and his beloved friends on the PNAC site said specifically that they wished to have to "galvanize the people to their militaristic vision" or however they put it. And yet, you still think that you're safer with him in charge then with the democrats.
Their actions are motivated by stuff going on within their own countries, not by who happens to be in the senate or house.

I think it would depend on the Senate's response to the attack. I personally feel that there will be another attack on this country by Islamic extremists. It is just a matter of who, where, when, and what.

I will ask the same question I have continued to ask. Why is the Mexican boarder not being patrol? BTW Nobody blamed the republican control congress for the attacks on the USS Cole or the Embassy that were attack when Clinton was in office. Gee the republicans want to blame Clinton for 9/11. Just Blame it all on the democrats that's what republicans do best!

Personally I'd vote ALL of MY representatives out of office, REGARDLESS of party.
We STILL don't have our borders secured (north and south), we don't have our ports secured, and the passport, ID, and visa problems are still uncorrected.
It depends on the method of attack, the group doing the attack, and any other number of factors !!
If it turns out to be Al Queda... now working out of Pakistan and other countries... I'd like to know how our Intel Community failed again...
And no matter who or how, I'd want to know how the Department of Homeland Security failed to stop it.

The American populace is lead by its nose to the feeding trough.
The Dems have two years to increase the dependence on Govenrment. I am sure something they will spin another hurricane, mass layoff, tornado, or attack into another opportunity to blame Republics for their predicament. After all, it is the government's responsibility to ensure that we are never uncomfortable.

No the Liberal spin masters will shift the blame to Bush somehow. Liberals would sacrifice half of this country's population to get control of the white house.
