Because we used to wait for people to ask for our help. Now we decide that people need it whether they want it or not.

What I don't understand is why people never look at the options here... Now, after the second world war when pretty much everyone was broke, the only countries with money were the US and USSR. We fought, the US won. Did you really, as a citizen of the world, want the USSR to takeover Europe and Asia? And then move on to Africa, South America and eventually North America? You may not like the US at the moment but trust me, that would have been worse. Their entire economy collapsed a few years after the Cold War. US dollars kept them afloat. What would have happened if they had won the Cold War and then their economy still collapsed?
Yeah. Liking the idea of that poverty? You wouldn't have the internet, that's for sure. Computers and the internet were both post Cold War American inventions.
And the only countries in line to be the next superpower are China and India by a long shot. China... who have more human rights violations than the former British Empire and the current US combined and doubled, and that's for this year alone. When the American Empire goes back to being called the United States, because we'll have no empire, I'm pretty sure everyone, us included, will be sitting back wishing we'd done things differently. China is already stepping up their military. If they're going to be a peaceful world leader, why do they already have the largest standing army in the world?
You think the US is a problem? Look at what your options were and will be. We're nothing but a blip on the radar.

If you listen to those on the left, America's past "solutions for the world", are the "problem for the world". By their logic, we are simply reaping the "rewards" of all of our "solutions" over the years.

Well if you are an American we can debate this point, but if you are from any other country, there is a large chance that we give a great deal of money to you, we would be the first one you called if you ever got attacked, and you do not have to support a large military because the US in its goodness will protect you.

We are only a problem to those countires who have no spine and would rather use diplomacy to solve un-solvable problems. If we are the problem as you say tell your governments not to come ask us for help.

If we're the problem, then why do countries constantly come crying to us for aid? Why do they always look to us when they have a problem, and the U.N. isn't helping?
We're only a problem for countries that have an agenda that we and the U.N. won't allow, or are our enemies.

You only have to go as far back as 2000 to see where the change took place.
