A well known genealogy site when they first set up their web site
as part of there promotion stated a free trial and the possibility to cancel free trial after 1 month or be billed for 1 year ,did not in fact have a existing web structure for people to do so and cancel before they were continually billed. Some people spotted this action and together with a law firm decided to file a suit that would be loosely referenced to this incident . This loose reference enabled a suit to, if people wanted ,include them into this group suit. The iniciating plaintifs had access to records of former customers who also were effected by this incident, this alone I think is dodgy-Data protection. Anyway a group sum settlement was settled and was interpretated by agreement of both defendant and principle plaintif agreeing group to be an amount in the region of $250,000.this would after all named group plantifs agreed to settle ment in kind of 1 months free subscription to web site. What should I do?

A war against terrorism can NEVER be won. Terrorism is a symptom of something wrong. Read the "War of the Flea", written by an American. The people you are fighting against will still be there in 5 or 10 or 20 years. In the meantime American boys are dying in their thousands....... for what... and you are turning the world against Americans... Look at the poor old people of Chagos. kicked out of their homeland so that an American military base can be built. Americans and British wont let them back even though they have won in World Court.... freedom just another word for OIL. Did you not learn anything from Korea Vietnam and Somalia...... You teach the Taliban to fight arm them now they are killing you.... have you guys lost it....

Common hearsay states that it was the West/UN that forced the Palestinians from their homes, igniting the whole Israeli-Palestine conflict. However, were they ever forced from their homes? I heard that Egypt and other anti-Zionist regimes told the Palestinians to leave because they were planning on wiping out the entire area, and so it was for their own safety. Which is true?

It seems (to me, an non-Brit), that there is some tension between Britain and her old territories (America, India, Israel, etc.), especially on the English side. Is this real or just paranoia? Thanks!

It happened in Vietnam, it happened in WWII, it happened in Bosnia and it is still happening in Iraq. These soldiers wouldn't normally rape women whilst at home out of uniform but why do they perform such a crule act, mainly on innocent young women who are supposed to be protected by these soldiers and pose no threat whatsoever?

[Re-asking question]
Hi!

I'm an international student in the UK.
My country is one of few countries where I was required to register with the police within one week of my first arrival to the UK to obtain a "Certificate of Registration".

On this Certificate, it's written that I MUST take this certicate and inform the police if I'm leaving my address for more than two months.
I went to the police, the policewoman at the desk didn't know what exactly to do (because as I said Not all countries are required to do so), and because it was outside office hours, she couldn't call the Home Office to inquire what she should do.
I couldn't go back the next day before the time of my flight.

I am now studying in another European country as an exchange student for six months (until end of June)

I am worried that when I'll come back to UK, the immigration officer might ask me why I didn't report that I'm leaving my address for more than 2 months.

Help is very appreciated.
