it is very possible that it will pass in this year ( 2007 ) since we all know that the democrats are in control and it is obvious that they will not want to let pass the subject in which they and the president agree on any further ....
i want to add than the Americans are already tired of talking about this and that most are ignoring this issue because they do not feel threatened by an amnesty and rightly so , what happens in ours lives and what we are only depends on us ...
i just hope that the Representatives are able to understand that they cannot exclude the large Asian population and those which come from Africa ... deporting them, would be an impossible task , so it better to make sure we know everyone who lives in the USA ...

I think the immigration issues will begin to be resolved over the next couple of years,it probably would have went through last year but the illegals got real smart and had a protest that woke the country up.Now everything will be handled with kid gloves and will most likely not go as well for the illegals as it would of if they just kept quiet.Don't expect to be a citizen any time soon if ever if you are here illegally.

This would be contrary to popular public opinion , but this wacky congress is capable of passing anything. It doesn't seem like the American public is privy to the real reasons that they vote the way they do. This issue is a political hot potato.

Don't hold your breath. Since it is a Bush idea, the Democrats will never pass it. In fact, since 60 votes are required in the Senate to even bring a bill to the floor, no controversial legislation will pass this term.
