everyday we see tons and tons of commercial, some are really agressive for the human consicence. Futhermore It reduces the appearance of small markets and we dont know the real effects of a human beeing constantly exposed to advertizing. Sure I understand the economic aspect behind the matter...(tv, radio, and sponsorship its essential..) but lets put that aside and just look at the question and ask if the morality behind the advertizements is right?..on one hand, one have the freedom to sell you anything as long as it does not harm you( my argument there is just one's gotta be able to judge what is right for him or what is wrong, and this is not their problems if they fool you because you are free to choose) but on the other hand, the power and the tools that compagny have could be so powerful that some day it' will fool anybody..even the smartest( I push to the extreme just to show my point).. So were do we have to draw the line? here's my question..I'll be very interrested to know!

"Senator Hillary Clinton was asked about President Bush and she said, 'I'm not going to believe this president again.' Yeah, Hillary said, to be fair, I stopped believing presidents ten years ago." ~Apparently she had a bad experience~

The Constitution says States may not "make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts" (Article I Section 10). So if, say, I have some money to receive from the State of Florida (as a result of a lawsuit that I win against it for example), does that mean that I can demand that they pay me in gold and silver coins?

I know this is absurd, but that's what the Constitution seems to say, isn't it?

I don't think Jesus would officially align himself with any one party, but if he did, I think he would be a staunch conservative. Just look at the party platform. It's perfectly align with the teachings of Jesus. Do you agree?

I understand those of you who opposed our first attacks on Iraq in Gulf War I and II. However, we're involved now. We've established a democratic government and our troops are fighting to keep it safe - and keep the majority of Iraqis safe. The VAST majority of Iraq is quiet and safe and growing. The Sunnis are having a hard time. But opposition to the war only emboldens our enemies - they've made this clear - If we pull out of Iraq now, the nation will descend into true chaos like Vietnam did after the fall of Saigon, resulting in the deaths of millions. Pulling out now will irreparably harm American influence and interests.

What benefit would pulling out of Iraq have for the United States?

Please-no platitudes or leftist talky-points such as "I support the troops!" - If you do, let them win. The casualty rate in Iraq is quite low - especially for a combat zone. (Unless you're a terrorist, anyway). So...WHY oppose it now? Is it simple Bush Hatred? Interested in your serious opinions

People who earn minimum wage will not benefit from this because businesses will be hurt by being FORCED to pay their employees more. To compensate for this imposed loss, they will raise prices, so the raise will do nothing.

I don't believe in paying lower class people more money that they don't deserve. If you're only being payed minimum wage, there's a reason for it. You have an easy job that takes no real skill like flipping burgers. Don't give these people more money.

If you want to really help lower class people, give the rich even bigger tax breaks.

Do you agree?

Do you Americans actually hate us all, or just those who are living in your country?.

We are not all bad u know...
I´ve seen a lot of people who hates mexicans around here and i believe that´s because most of the mexican immigrants are the poorest people here, so you´ve got the worst part of us, but we are not ALL like that. Some of us are in our own country working hard to try and get a better life, and it IS possible, it´s just that not everyone here has the same oportunities. We are just as human as you are.

BTW I live in México and I´m planning to stay here.

I notice that so many questions posted under the "Politics" section of Yahoo Q&A have absolutely nothing, in my opinion, to do with politics.

I can understand if folks post their questions mistakenly in the wrong category, but perhaps people actually think that the questions they ask are political.

What is your definition of a "political" question?

One of my most fav bands years ago was Minor Threat. They had a song "Guilty of Being White".

I'm sorry
For something that I didn't do
Lynched somebody
But I don't know who
You blame me for slavery
A hundred years before I was born

Guilty of being white

I'm a convict
Of a racist crime
I've only served
Nineteen years of my time

Guilty of being white

Does it even bother you anymore when people call you a racist or repeatedly use the race card?

I'm pretty sure I have a warrant for failure to appear for a minor traffic violation (I think one of my stickers were out) This was in the town my mother lives in (Humble) I live in another town (Katy, these are both outside of Houston, by the way) Will these show up when I go to get my drivers license? If they do, will I be arrested on the spot or will I be given an oppurtunity to pay? I have every intention to pay, renewing my license just takes priority right now. I will, however, be more than willing to pay them if they show up.
