Imperialism had decapitated powerful Islam civilizations just like the mighty Ottoman Empire. Christianity was spread by sword and cross over Muslim countries at the height of imperialism waged by Great Britain, United States, Spain, Portugal and other European powers.

Ever since the discovery of Oil in the Middle East the things took turn for the Worst.Now we have A mass of illiterate angry and blood thirsty Masses on Arab street kept under control by sword and the religion and very corrupt elite who does not know what to do with the money they have.Yes up to some extent you can say or blame The British and American imperialism but the majority of the blame must go to Arab rulers and the Mullahs who help the elite to stay in power by strict law of Sharia.

No, The Turkish empire of the Ottomans was an Islamic empire. I think the decrease of muslim influence and power corresponds to when they were militarily defeated and their expansion into Europe stopped by their defeat in France, and susequently forced out of Spain. Around the same time their advance into southern Europe was also halted. The next Set back was the defeat and destruction of the Ottoman Empire during WWI.
Europe has fought back wave after wave of invasion from the middle east. Back to the time of the Wars between Greece and Persia.
I think the Romans got it right. In the way they handled the invasion of Carthage. They left not one stone sitting upon another.

Whatever imperialism did capitalism and the global demand for oil, changed. The fact that many Muslim nations produce oil keeps them relevant to other nations. If were not for that the major capitalist society's would not care. If the people were starving,sick, diseased, they would not care. These country's have a platform. You never here of them speaking up for any of the have not's or creating world balance. They reap huge profits just like many other nations. They play the game just like everyone else. So I do not believe them to be any better than the imperialist nations.
