How much should have been spent? Are we taking the media and the 911 commissions word for it? Isn't the 911 Commission just made up of Bush supporters and backers?

The monster who raped my son was let out of jail, after a $200,000 bond was reduced to $20,000. All of this because if there was a conviction the D.A.'s office and police department would have a lawsuit on their hands for not including medical evidence and the polygraph the predator failed. There was one cover up after another in this case. The predator lives in the same town as we do and it is difficult because it seems like he is everywhere. He fragmented my son's soul as well as my own. How does this all end?

How do you feel about McCain's mention on how he fears that Iraq might do something like the "Tet Offensive" which was done by the North Vietmanese in '68 (This resulted in a huge number of American causalties.)? He says he's afraid this would create a change of mind in a lot of Americans. A poll showed that 62% of American's think that going to Iraq was a mistake. He doesn't want this number to increase. How do you feel about what he has said?

Please, if you're conservative, don't leave a stupid answer.

We cannot just leave now because the country would go to hell (figuratively) and that would be on us. I'm a pretty conservative guy on this issue, and would like to see us leave Iraq, but do it in a smart way.

My idea is alot like the "troop surge" but I actually (no BS) came up with it long before Bush's idea. I said that we should give the militias a month to disarm, then have a massive crackdown after that, leaving military forces from the Iraq security forces in every area that was pacified.

Good Idea? Bad Idea? What's your strategy?

Good answers get thumbs up even if I don't agree with you. Idealistic crap gets thumbs down.

If the earth was literally on fire (exaggeration), it seems that some people would still doubt global warming is caused by humans. "It's a natural cycle. Liberal propaganda. Conspiracy of scientists." Scientists looked at the evidence and have come to an almost universal consensus that global warming is caused by humans. What proof do you need?

Scientists see it in tree rings, ancient coral and bubbles trapped in ice cores. These reveal that the world has not been as warm as it is now for a millennium or more. The three warmest years on record have all occurred since 1998; 19 of the warmest 20 since 1980. And Earth has probably never warmed as fast as in the past 30 years - a period when natural influences on global temperatures, such as solar cycles and volcanoes should have cooled us down. Studies of the thermal inertia of the oceans suggest that there is more warming in the pipeline.

Here is an excerpt from an internal Democrat Party memo debating whether to openly back an enemy of the USA...>
>>I think we should put a lot of emphasis on Hugo Chavez as an ally of the democratic party, it'll reach out to the mainstream<<

>>I agree with Di that it would be ill-advised to align the Democratic Party, or any of its candidates, with Chavez simply because of the bad US press he has received. On the other hand, remember the old adage: The enemy of my enemy, is my friend<<

Why can't the Democrat Party just come out and say they support our enemy? Are they that afraid of being truthful with the American people?

Well, there was enough media attention regarding this conference. But whatever happened to media coverage regarding whether the discussion had determined whether there was a Holocaust or not?

(Ahmadinejad, who was elected more than a year ago, has focused much of his diplomacy on verbally attacking the U.S. and Israel. In December, he hosted a conference that questioned whether the Nazi Holocaust took place and has called for Israel to be "wiped off the map.")
