A voter would not expect to receive a tax break just because he did his duty to this country. I consider it a duty & a right to vote so I exercise my vote. If someone else does not, they have just given up a right that someone died to give them. Too bad they don't appreciate that fact & get off their lazy cans & vote.
By the way, just because we vote doesn't mean that we run this country! Far from it! I do it anyway!

I LOVE that idea. It would either increase the number of voters, or would effectively out the Americans who ***** about their country daily, but are too lazy to get off their butts to vote.

I would also LOVE to see some kind of system implemented that would publish a list of all those who do NOT vote. Local newspapers would be great, but also something on YA - where there would be an asterisk beside their name if they were eligible, but didn't vote.

I'm certain I'll get slagged for my view, as it is sooooooo unAmerican...but what could be more unAmerican than not voting???

Not a bad idea for motivation. The trick is getting the voting machines right to correctly count the votes.

Oh heck no. I saw a guy on TV all proud that he voted in the presidential election. When he was asked who he voted for, he named a name. Then he was shown pictures of various politicians which included who he voted for, and he didn't recognize any of the people.

Idiots can vote too!

No.

Big money controls the vote. They all ready get big tax breaks.

Many people don't vote because they are disgusted with the scandals, lies and more lies.
