He did what Clinton, Air America, George Soros etc. couldnt do, give the Democrats a majority in the house...This was all done for a stupid war, not for pushing true conservatism.....Here are some facts.

1. The Supreme Court became more conservative only AFTER consevatives complained.

2. Nothing has been done on immigration. Rather, Bush is trying to make our immigration laws more lenient.

3. The size of the government has INCREASED under Bush.

I know Congress voted to go to war in Iraq, which further increased the instability of that counrty. Even more so than it was before we invaded. Even if this was a mistake. Then don't you think it would be cold hearted to withdraw our troops and make the Iraqis deal with our mistake?

I'm trying to be serious, so I hope to get some serious answers. Nonsense rants and name calling will be ignored and not taken seriously.

i want to join the ROTC programs in college for army or air force. my goal is to graduate a military intelligence officer. after the 2 years of service, i want to go into either business or politics. which service would benefit me more after i finish my term? another thing is, if i finish my 6 years and there is a draft like 4 years later, does the military call me back? and on what terms, higher rank, higher pay? (also, i wouldnt consider this is i didnt want to serve my country. military service is NOT something that i NEED for either field)

Where is our President in the convictions of our Border Patrol agents? It's so obvious to us "lay-people" that these men were set up and betrayed by a collegue; WHY can't our political system see it? Also, I have noticed that ONLY Republicans have rallied to the defense of these men. So much for the Democrates being "for the people." They seem to be as corrupt as the agent that befriended a drug scumbag.

Looooooaaaaaaads of people in Britain protested against the war in Iraq, but did anyone listen? What kind of a demoracy is this that thousands and thousands of people lose to a minority of people (eg blair). Does our point of view not matter?

And do we really have equal freedom to everyone else?

Think about it...

I am a gay man in the army. Been to Iraq twice, Afghanistan once, all in the past four years. I'm an Infantry Combat Medic. I work on the front lines. It's all male, we sleep, shower, and **** together. It doesn't bother the people I work with because one, I'm good at being a medic and two, I very good soldier. Why should being gay be a bar, if gay people often out do their straight counter parts.

The V-Day card I bought for my bf says "Extra Postage Required" where the stamp would go on the envelope. But exactly HOW MUCH extra postage do they mean? I have 37 cent and 2 cent stamps (to make the normal 39 cent postage). Should I just put two of each? Although 78 cents sounds like too much, and I don't know if I can put 4 stamps on there. It's not an extraordinarily large envelope or anything, it's only 6.5" X 9.5", and it's not a real heavy card.

What do you normally do when you need extra postage? Does anyone out there work at a post office and know for sure?

Should I put two 37 cent stamps (even though normal postage is 39) or do I actually need 4 stamps to make two sets of 39s?

This might sound like a dumb question, but I haven't send a card via snail mail in a loooong time (I use e-cards and e-mail for everything) but I thought it would be nice to send a regular card this time.

Thanks!

Our real estate firm has planned a limited investment opportunity involving a fixed 35% ROI, a 100-day term, all backed by equity in real property.
What type of professional might you recommend for us to use to market this opportunity correctly? Financial adviser? Fund manager? Attorney?
This is only a temporary offer that we will be making available over the next several weeks, but we still want to be sure to do it correctly and efficiently. We also want to be sure that when we start advertising the offer, that we are in compliance with any S.E.C. rules that would apply.
Any responses or emails with your input would be appreciated.

This is the assignment, but I have no idea how I'm supposed to answer this ...

The Johns-Manville Corporation was a profitable company that made a variety of building and other products. It was a major producer of asbestos, which was used for insulation in buildings and for a variety of other uses. It has been medically proven that excessive exposure to asbestos causes asbestosis, a fatal lung disease. Thousands of employees of the company and consumers who were exposed to asbestos and contracted this fatal disease sued the company for damages. In 1983, the lawsuits were being filed at a rate of more than 400 per week.
As a response, the company filed for reorganization bankruptcy. It argued that if it did not, an otherwise viable company that provided thousands of jobs an served a useful purpose in this country would be distroyed, and that without the declaration of bankruptcy, a few of the plaintiffs who first filed their lawsuits would win awards of hundreds of ..read below.
