I don't care which party they belong to, politicians are bottom feeders and should not be siphoning off of the tax base. This goes from the President down to the local city council member.

So the night of Feb 2' 2007 I was hit by a drunk driver. She was arrested at the scene. Me and my boyfriend both went to the hospital directly after leaving the scene, and basically bruised and battered. Her insurance is offering to pay all our medical expenses plus one thousand dollars to each of us.

Is this reasonable? I have never had to deal with a situation like this. My car is totaled, but she said the thousand dollars to each of us, does not include the damage to my car. Are they treating me fair, or should I hold off on accepting the deal?

This widely accepted classification speaks volumes about accepted White superiority concepts/racism in American culture.

"So if he's not 100% white and pure, he's black"......even though he's half White and half Black.......

This country is so messed up.....! And we're so used to it and nobody questions it.

Would anyone dare to call Obama "White"?......lol...why not?

If job and vocational recruiters have the right to recruit on campus, why shouldn't the armed forces be included? Just because some are anti-war, do they have the right to restrict the choices of some students who may want to join the armed forces. If I choose to eat meat choose non-meat eaters force me not to eat meat? If I choose to marry someone of my choice, should my parents or my friends prevent me and force me from choosing my mate?

To me freedom means so much, I can't imagine any rrestriction on my rights. Somehow, I do think that freedon has to be protected. People of free societies have the right to assembly, to speak openly, to protest too. Should anyone protest to keep a free person from exercising his or her rights to make free choices such as joining the armed forces.

Source: Military news.... A Marine facing life in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and murdering an innocent Iraqi man asked to withdraw his pleas Thursday, saying he no longer believes he's guilty.

"He believes he acted with lawful authority, and for that reason he is withdrawing his plea," attorney Victor Kelley said at Cpl. Trent Thomas' sentencing hearing.

The military judge ordered a 30-minute recess and asked Thomas's defense team to present their case as to why they no longer believe his is guilty.

Thomas, 25, pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to eight felonies including kidnapping, murder and assault. He was one of a squad of seven Marines and a sailor accused last year of hatching a plot to kill an innocent Iraqi in the town of Hamdania. Four others pleaded guilty to lesser charges. Thomas, the squad's second in command, could face life in prison. It is now believe the Marines did him wrong.

I read a lot of the political questions and answere's, and I always see people saying that they better not let anymore troops go to Iraq because they're just going to die! And in the military section, when people are wondering weather to join or not, a lot of people say, "Don't do it, you'll just go to Iraq and be killed!!" How is that supporting our troops? Why would anyone say that?

Reagan bankrupted them by forcing an increase in the arms race?

Or was it;

Gorbachev's economic and social reforms that exposed the corruption, poor housing, food shortages, alcoholism, widespread pollution, creeping mortality rates and the second-rate position of women in the centrally controlled society, which caused widespread outrage by the people and severely disrupted the economy, and enabled the Baltic States to break away and form independent countries?
