She is on leave and it is all hush hush. They say it's a family leave so nothing will be reported but those in her classes know exactly why she is gone.

No teacher who is being paid with public money should be able to push their political views regardless of their party.
Do you agree or disagree with that?

Imagine this scenario: Tens years from now it will be possible to genetically modify our embryos to gain an average of 50 IQ points as adults. Assuming that the procedure is safe and legal, would you choose to perform it on your children, and why? If not, would you still stick to your decision once all your friends and neighbours were doing it?

Note: Assume that the modified genes would be passed on to future generations.

create solid allies in the Middle East, curb world terrorism, reduce domestic unemployment, spark a thriving economy, increase awareness of AIDS in Africa and donate the largest amount of funds ever to needy third world countries. If he does all of these things where will he rate on a scale of 1 - 10, with 1 being bad and 10 being good?

This link is to an audio file from the Lars Larson show. Yes, Lars is a Conservative talk show host, but he is interviewing Geoge Taylor, Official Climatologist from the state of Oregon(one of the more Liberal States). Please listen closely to what the SCIENTIST has to say about climate change and what he thinks is the cause and then comment.

After the failures of Katrina, Bush finally said he took resposibility for the failures of the situation.
What does that really mean? Others lost their positions, but he gets to keep his job.
To me, it's just further truth that he says one thing and does whatever he wants with no regard for the consquences.

This is background for a mystery I'm writing. The victim was shot and killed. A couple of hours before he died, he was punched out. The punch left a bruise during life, but how would it look after the victim died? Specifically, I'm asking if the site of the bruise would be obvious to a witness finding the victim. Would it be darker in color, larger in size after death? And would it be obvious enough to be seen in a black and white crime scene photo? Thank you!!!

Ok, i am taking a new job out of state in two months and have to start a new job so i am selling my townhome. I sat down with a realitor today and he told me the comps are 185k, now i owe 205k. well a year and a half ago i took out a HELOC for 70k, they said the home was valued at 220k and i took there word for it! I used the money to pay off medical bills, student loans and cc debt. They used a AMV? not a actual appraiser to come up with that market value. I told my relitor about this and he looked up actuall comps at that time and found that they were 183k at the highest at that time. He told me i would have a good case?/any suggestions or heard of this?

If you can answer that, it proves to me that you really do love America.

Many people think liberals hate America as they praise Europe, but bash America.

If you can and were a veteran or a current service men/women who experienced combat in anyway can send me their email address or home address. Or if you know a service men/women serving in Iraq or Afghan I really would like to hear from them about my topic. Thank you

Oh and thank you to the veterans/service men/women who served.

And whichever you are, is it because you just assume it's the correct way or have you ACTUALLY educated yourself in our history and are making thought out decisions. I've run into many that don't ever deal with what this country is currently experiencing, yet they can have an ignorantly based opinion on the issues. (The constitution needs to have an amendment that says if your IQ is lower than say.....100, you can't vote.)

All kidding aside! Not looking for anyone with an attitude problem. Just wondering what goes thru some peoples minds about the government; local and federal.

I am a soldier. Why should we be treated any different? Just like you, we do our job. People don't get extra benefits just for doing their job, why should we? Whenever I travel in uniform I never pay a cent for food at the air ports. People always invite to pay for my food. I appreciate it deeply. i guess what i'm asking is why? what is it that makes people so charitable around soldiers?
thank you all who support our troops by the way. It’s incredible the things you do to make soldiers feel at home.

(Now Im not asking someone to plan my life out for me, I just want some other ideas besides the couple I have now; to see all my options)

Fiance is going to school to be an orthodontist, and Im joining the Marines. I wanted to enlist but Ive been persuaded otherwise by a lot of people; so Im going to go through NROTC (Not Navy, Marines). Ive always known I wanted to go into the military, but if I want to make a career out of it; I might as well put in the extra 4 years and get an education to start out at a decent rank.

But back on topic. I want to go through NROTC (Marines) and come out a 2nd Lt. in the USMC Infantry. My question is, what major would you reccomend for someone that has a decent head on their soldiers but not a genious, that would hate a deskjob.

Im just looking for some ideas here, Ive been looking into Criminal Justive for the past year but I want to see what other people's opinions are.

(Probably going to Purdue)(Indiana)

--Thanks alot

I have to pay child support for my two kids and I am drowning because the amount of money that I make is not covering what I need to live. Does anyone know what to do in this situation. I thought about modifying my order but I dont think the courts are going to allow this. I have tried to get a second job and they have taken half of what I make which is still not enough to cover my expenses. Please anyone who knows a way. I dont want to not pay my child support but I do want to not stress about money anymore.
