The economy- America is WAY better to be in if you want to be an entrepeneur.
Setting up a business in France is a bureaucratic nightmare.

well, like some have said... it's a very broad issue... I mean the difference between England and Romania are amazing...
much of Western Europe is much like America in many, many ways... the only real difference is the number of social programs and level of taxes...
so low taxes are a good thing... cheap gas... both are used to feed the economy and they do... and our economy is much stronger... which is good...
also some have a state religion still... and I'm not a big fan of that... freedom of religion to all...
there are of course others... but that's all that comes to mind at the moment...

Liberals don't tend to bash America, we bash American leadership that we feel to be against the very core of American beliefs, or are not in the best interests of America as a nation. We love our country, so when someone is screwing it up, we're going to complain VERY loudly. Kind of like someone storming into your house and whizzing all over your floor, then asking "HOW DO YOU LIKE IT NOW?"
This question is too broad though - Europe is quite diverse in many ways, similar to America. You can say America has a better education system than a great deal of Europe, but there are a handful of countries (think small, rich ones like Belgium) that are even further ahead. The difference in opinions and policy across Europe, much like in the US, are quite vast. If you break it down by region (states in the US, nations in the EU) you'll start to get a clearer picture. Quite frankly, it's pretty hard to compare one country to a continent. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, they are both just different.
I will say that the unity of the States is a big benefit over the EU. The EU is still made up of very sovereign nations, where-as the states within the US gave up much of their power to a federal government long ago. This allows for ease of commerce both internally and externally, and greatly contributes to Amerca's economic success.
