I have gone to the military base near me and had my ID card updated, I have even bought a CAC reader. Things were so much easier when I was active duty.

Call the AKO Help Desk at The Pentagon and they will provide help. You also want to check with the office that set up your account. The Pentagon number is on the AKO Main Page.

If it makes you feel any better, my husband allowed my account to expire and hasn't gotten around to renewing it for months. Ah well, at least his expired too. Makes me feel a little better.
I don't understand why they can't just make it so that while a person is enlisted, they only have to change their password every ninety days. I'll never understand why my account expired more than a year away from my husband's ETS date.
It sounds like you've done everything you could do. Perhaps it's time to call the help line.

create a simple algorithm that you can remember. base your password on easily reconizible things like your mother or fathers name. a good example would be that if your mothers name was jane, and your father was john you could use the 1st letter of both names followed by your birth day. when it is time to change the pass word use the 2nd letter of both name followed by your mothers birthday

jane 11/16/67
john 6/24/66
you 8/18/83

1st week jj111667
2nd week ao62466
3rd week hn81883

im not very good at communicating but im sure that you get the ide ;)

At least you can log on! I've been trying for weeks, but it says it can't find me in their data base. I've contacted the help desk twice and they can't understand why this happening.
