It is very easy to give up a right. If you want it back, expect a fight. Since 9/11, it seems as though people don't care.

Making one language preferential over another is un-American and according to some of our forefathers it was "unpatriotic" and unfair to the immigrant population.

Many argue that translating/interpreting is costly but compared to the lawsuits that can result by not providing this type of assistance, it's a pittance. By doing this, you are guilty of NATIONAL ORIGIN DISCRIMINATION. You don't deprive a person in a wheelchair of a ramp, a deaf person of an interpreter, or an illiterate person of an explanation. Depriving someone of their language is violating their civil rights!

Last I checked, the US Constitution, was the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND and states that we have a right to free speech. It doesn't state that it has to be in English and FYI, the Articles of Confederation were translated to German so the German pop. could understand their rights.

For sticking with Bill,,isn’t that what marriage is all about,,for better or for worse? Or do the conservatives have a selective bias when it comes to their idea of “Family values”?

I went to trial for doing 50 in a 35. (porter county, IN). I tried to show that the radar gun used by the officer was not functioning properly. He admitted that he did not calibrate the gun at all, he also admitted that he did not use or have any log to that effect. He also said that he did not know enough about how the radar gun works or anything about tuning forks. The judge asked me if I had a manual on the gun. I didn't. So she found me guilty. Can I now appeal her decision?

What have we reaped in the way we have changed? America 100 years ago had the highest literacy rate of any nation. Today we spend more on education than any nation in the world. And yet since 1987 we have graduated more than one million high school students who could not even read their diploma.
We have spent more money than any other Nation in the industrialized world to educate our children, and yet SAT scores fell for 24 straight years before finally leveling off at the bottom, where they still are compared with others in the world in the 1990s.
In a 1960 survey 53 percent of America's teenagers had never kissed. 57 percent said they had never necked, that is kissing and hugging, and 92 percent of teenagers in America said they were virgins in 1960.
By 1990, just 30 years later, 75 percent of American high school students are sexually active, by 18. In the next 5 years, we spent $4 billion to educate them on how to be immoral, to trumpeting the solutions of safe sex, and it worked.
One in five teenagers in America today lose their virginity before their 13th birthday. 19 percent of America's teenagers say they have had more than four sexual partners before graduation. The result: Every day 2,700 students get pregnant, 1,100 get abortions, 1,200 give birth. Every day another 900 contract a sexually transmitted disease, many incurable.
AIDS infections among high school students climbed 700 percent between 1990 and 1995. We have 3.3 million problem drinkers in our high school campuses, over half a million alcoholics, and in any given weekend in America, 30 percent of the student population may spend some time drunk.

Many in both political parties are moving towards a New World Order they just have different ways of getting there!
Nixon-Reagan-GHW Bush-Clinton-GW Bush ALL are involved in this ideology!
We keep attacking the parties and they are BOTH corrupt!!
You need to investigate whether or not someone who is running for office is a New World Order activist not which political party they belong to!

Neoconservatives love to claim that Islam an inherently violent religion, Muslims want to take over the world, Muslims want to behead you, etc.

But the fact is we were not attacked by Arabs or Muslims until after the 1967 war, when we started unconditionally supporting Israel and its illegal occupation of Arab lands.

Funny how they overlook that little fact, isn't it?

Sheeple People who refuse to accept the fact that the Bush administration Orchestrated the Terror Attacks of 911 are just plain ignorant. It's impossible for a fire to melt steel unless it is assisted by something like "oxygen/acetylene" Jet fuel or Kerosene does not burn hot enough to melt steel...LOOK AT THE PERIODIC TABLE OF ELEMENTS. Also if the floors where the planes hit collapsed causing a chain reaction it would have taken well over 90 seconds for the buildings to come down. They came down at free fall speed....9 seconds. There is no logical argument here. Explosives were pre-planted in the building. Case closed! Why are so many people having a hard time accepting this?

so we impeached The man, The myth, The legend, yes i am talking about bill clinton, for getting a little oral action in the white house, or actually for lying about getting the oral action. No one was killed as a result. Ok so Bush has lied or been decietful about a number of things, all of which have directly or indirectly led to the death of thousands upon thousands of people, not just americans, so why is it that he hasn't been impeached.... shouldn't the standards be the same for all presidents???

Does the Elian Gonzalez case ring a bell ?

Then she lied to the American public, and said no weapons were used in his capture and removal. . . . . . UNTIL Photographic PROOF that they did use M-16's .

Where is the liberal outcry now.. .. . why aren't they honest with themselves ? Why didn't they scream about constitutional rights then ? Why didn't they scream for Janet Reno's expulsion ?
Does this make liberals look 'fair' in their actions and accusations ?

A few years ago a young woman in a high school in Oklahoma wrote this poem as a new school prayer. ``Now I sit me down in school where praying is against the rule, for this great Nation under God finds mention of him very odd.
``The Scripture now the class recites, it violates the Bill of Rights. And any time my head I bow, becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, that is no offense, it is a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise, only prayers spoken out loud are a serious vice.
``For praying in a public hall might offend someone with no faith at all, in silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the State. We are allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, and pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks, they have outlawed guns but first the Bible.
``To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant senior queen, and the unwed daddy our senior king. It is inappropriate to teach right from wrong, we are taught that such judgments do not belong.
``We can get our condoms and birth control, study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles, but the Ten Commandments are not allowed. No word of God must reach this crowd. It is scary here I must confess, when chaos reins the school is a mess.
``So Lord this silent plea I make, should I be shot my soul please take.''
