The articles I saw said that membership was flourishing, I didn't see that hate crimes were.
However, I think the more anger there is at illegal immigration, much of it for good reason, like ruined schools, the more ways that anger can come out 'sideways'.
I don't think it is the 'debate' that spurs this, but the underlying condition of too great immigration and the burden that puts on society.
Obviously, hate crimes aren't ok, but not protecting schools and services for citizens isn't ok either. The government had better wake up on this one. I can only see it getting worse - from both sides.

I don't know if it is from debate, but rather from the news. There is a lot of stuff going on that makes it look like the government and everyone in charge is on the illegals' side. So if Whites feel that nobody is looking out for them, they feel like they are going to have to stand up for themselves. Like someone else said, hate crimes are not okay, but the way the situation is being handled, I am not surprised if hate crimes against Hispanics are on the rise.

I think it was inevitable and something I have been concerned about. The pin head skin head types are only looking for an excuse to hammer someone who isn't like them. They tell themselves that they are doing it out of a sense of patriotism. The same thing happened after 9/11. I remember when a Sikh was killed in Arizona because some idiot thought he was a Muslim. Violent racism is bad enough but when you combine it with idiocy then they are really dangerous.
For those who say that the illegals wouldn't be in danger if they weren't here in the first place, what makes you think that these KKK a$$holes can tell the difference between legal and illegal?

Politicians should of nipped this in the bud along time ago but now it is out of hand and they will take the easy way out using there silver tounges talking around Amnesty but in reality will be amnesty.
There is nothing a law abiding citizen can do about it.
I would say gangs are more of a problem in this country than the kkk Mara salvatrucha (ms 13) are much more dangerous

I'm just guessing here but I'd say lying, stealing, tress-passing illegal aliens are responsible for having crimes perpetrated against them.
If they weren't here they wouldn't have that problem would they?
Let's make this real simple- if an illegal alien doesn't like the way he is treated in America- GO HOME- You aren't supposed to be here anyway.
See how simple things can be?
Is it ever a hate crime if it happens to a white person?

NO ONE gets to decide beforehand what color they are born...it is not my "fault" I was born the color I am...nor is it yours...people should be be judged fairly, based on who they are, not what color their skin is....GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES.....I can't help the 'color" I'm born, but I CAN help who I become....and IMHO, if you immigrate to a country..ours or whomever, you should be governed by the same laws that appply to us all....can you imagine if an American moved to say, France, and demanded that all French-speaking people be made to speak English..adopt the "American" ways....and so forth? I think you'd be laughed out of the country....
No, I think the causes of crime against one another is pure ignorance...plain and simple.

Jay J. is right. The KKK was a democrat organization and republicans were NOT welcome!
I think that hate groups are always looking for ANY excuse to pertetrate violence. The debate of ideas is good for society. There will always be some who abuse the process as a means of espousing their radical ideas.

Why can't we all just get along!?! Hey, you go to another country...I don't care who you are...you should be apart of it. There is no reason whatsoever that people should be treating others in hate crime either! Ugh... Black..White...Tanned....Purple with green spots! Who cares? *BIG HUGS TO ALL!* We all have reasons to be proud of our races but realize...we must live together and find a common ground also...called Humanity
Flesh and bones of the Earth...brother and sister
