Please take a moment to actually read and respond to this question with an open mind. I'm not casting any aspersions, I would seriously like to understand one phrase I have often heard from pro-choice people: "I am against abortion, but I am for choice".

Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but the only reason I can think of for a person to be against abortion is that he/she feels it causes the death of a person.

If this is indeed the case, should there really be a choice extended to the mother? I mean, we prohibit many choices where society's interest is considered more important than a person's choice. For example, one cannot legally choose to rob a bank, kidnap a celebrity, or kill one's mother-in-law.

I'm seriously not trying to pick a fight, I just don't understand how one person can validly hold both opinions at the same time.

My wife is thinking about applying for a commission in the armed forces and we'd like to find a branch that will allow us to remain as physically close as possible while allowing her the best chance with an Intelligence career.

Have you ever read about this? I read about it in a Con Law case book... it is a brutal process.

Tell Hanoi "Born Again" Jane she needs to protest abortion, and not a legitimate, just, and moral war in Iraq.

All these liberals cry about abu Grahib but support the wanton killing and dismemberment of a child just outside his mother's womb.

Shame...

Is the U.S. the only country in the world where Right Wing Republican's think Jesus is a political figure first and savior second, but only if you vote Right Wing Republican? What other country puts religious figures as politicans? Oh, I am a believer in Christ, but not a follower of the blind current day Pharisees.

I was in the lovely Communist state of Cuba and decided I had a few too many things. I tried to sell them to the locals and the police tried to arrest me for first degree yard sale. Now I'm on the run, what can I do to fight this?

the thing i dont get is, you say for like a year that we cant stay the way we are, and the iraq plan has to change, but when they finally come up with one the democrats are immidiatly aganst it. and if you think it's a bad plan, WHATS YOURS! it just seems like the democrats have no ideas of there own, they just like to disagree with the republicans. now dont get me wrong, i know iraq is a mess, and lets face it, bush isnt the brightest bulb himself, but can we at least try it before we shoot it down. Your rebutle?

I think Bill Clinton should have to be called the first lady if Hillary wins the election. He should then have to where a dress. Also at the presidential ball, his wife should lead in the dance.

I read this story this morning in the Chicago Tribune. It's about a dead Israeli soldier whose family won the right to inseminate a woman the man never knew with his frozen sperm, simply because the man "loved children". The man's mother said her son came to her in a vision twice about fathering children. The link is below:
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-0701290159jan29,1,7098536.story?coll=chi-news-hed&ctrack=1&cset=true
I guess my specific questions are:
• How does the mother have the right to choose who her dead son's sperm is impregnated in, and why does she have that right at all?
• Even though the Israeli courts say this is "a single case", will this not be used as precedent in other similar cases?
• Do deceased people have the same rights as the living simply through their family ties?
• Isn't this activity akin to playing God?
Would like all opinions- serious answers, please.

Wouldn't Muslims behead Liberals if they had the power to do so here, in America?

Be it because of business interests, or because they wanted to retire in a more relaxed atmosphere, there are millions and millions of white people living in Latin America, India, the Middle East and Africa.

Yet whites in the USA and UK whine because they have immigrants from those countries around!

Why is it ok for whites to live wherever they want, but not ok for other people to do the same?
