On official government websites of the People's Republic of China, I often see remarks to the effect that "Taiwan has always belonged to China since ancient times."

Are such statements true or false? What are the details?

Are parents today too soft on their children.
Why should it be the governments responsabiltity to tackle crime when most parents don't give a damn what their children are doing.
