The Democratic presidential hopeful said in Iowa yesterday it would be "the height of irresponsibility" to pass the war along to the next commander-in-chief. She accused Bush of going to war "with an ill-conceived plan and an incompetently executed strategy." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The White House condemned Clinton's comments as a partisan attack that undermines U-S soldiers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
my question is:
Will this White House ever have a thoughtful response to the people's concerns? Or will they continue to take the low road, dragging our country down into the dumps?

With the latest turmoil in congress over credit cards and their "predatory" practices. I was wondering what everyon thought about this issue. Are they evil or simply a business who has a contract for their protection and operating within the legal precedents of said contract?

Just wondering. I know this is old news but that also means that there really is clearly a right and wrong answer. Reagan was right. He was right that the Cold War could be won and about how to win it. He was right that the tax cuts would spur economic growth and not exacerbate inflation. He was right that ending gasoline price controls would end the gasoline shortages (well, anyone who got above a C in Macro 101 would have known that, but I guess Carter must have missed that class).

Have any of the Libs, who were wrong about EVERYTHING in the 1980s, admitted they were wrong about ANYTHING?

On Immigration ?

Idle industries have cast workers into unemployment, causing human misery and personal indignity. Those who do work are denied a fair return for their labor by a tax system which penalizes successful achievement and keeps us from maintaining full productivity. But great as our tax burden is, it has not kept pace with public spending. For decades, we have piled deficit upon deficit, mortgaging our future and our children's future for the temporary convenience of the present. To continue this long trend is to guarantee tremendous social, cultural, political, and economic upheavals. You and I, as individuals, can, by borrowing, live beyond our means, but for only a limited period of time. Why, then, should we think that collectively, as a nation, we are not bound by that same limitation? We must act today in order to preserve tomorrow. And let there be no misunderstanding—we must to begin to act, beginning today.

If you really believe candidates are religious, you should believe that they can't separate religion from their political life. The Pope has already given direction to politicians around the world. Does that mean if you are Protestant and pro-choice you can't vote for a Catholic candidate? Southern Baptists believe that women in marriage should obey their husbands. I can see that being written into a few laws.

If you hold religion to be important in your own life, how do you keep it out of your political life? If you can't, does this country go the way of Iraq with Sunni fighting Shiite or Northern Ireland with Protestants fighting Catholics?

It would seem that an atheist, not beholden to any religion, might be the best choice. You can at least be sure that he or she is not trying to ram some religious doctrine down anyone else's throat. And contrary to popular belief, there are some conservative atheists. And they have morality, too. All in all, not a bad choice.

Don't you think it would benefit this country if we alotted more classroom time and made it mandatory to teach our children more about politics and how the government is run? I think it's a total waste of money and time to be teaching students about greek mythology and poetry, that is unless it's an elective. All I ever got was one quarter of civics in highschool yet I had a semester on poetry and greek mythology, not by choice these weren't elective classes!

Bill with a Republican congress was actually ok. Hillary trys to look and seem normal but once she opens her mouth she seems like a crazy woman that nobody would want for a mother let alone the president of the USA. I think she would get trounced against anybody if people listened to this horrible woman. What do you think?

So my friends and I went shopping at Claires. Me and two of my friends. I picked out a keychain and was going to get it but decided not to I had held it in my hand for a while. One of my friend who I was with was I quess trying to take something (shoplift) And I knew she was but I didn't say anything so she dropped stuff in her bag but I knew something was wrong because the manager was talking to the security guard. I told her to put the stuff back and she did. So on our way out the lady stops all of us and says she has to check our bags from previous shopping. I didn't have a bag but I had a purse so she made me open it so she could see that I didn't take anything. None of us take anything and two of us didn't think about taking anything however all of us are banned from the store. There's gotta be some justice to that I mean first she assumed we stole and then banned us? Not to mention embarrassed us in front of people.
