I'm with you, He should apologize to the country and especially to all the families whose sons and daughters were killed in Iraq. He couldn't even make up his mind why he brought us into this war in the first place. First it was weapons of mass destruction, next it was Saddam is a bully and we are doing the Iraqi people a favor getting rid of him (forget about the years we laid in bed with him and supplied him with arms) then it was we are there to bring democracy to the Iraqis. Today it's we have to destroy them before they conquer the world and we're all wearing Burkhas. Give me a break. Telling us that Iraq had the immediate capability of nuking us was a lie and his PREEMPTIVE STRIKE to prevent this was shameless. But no, I am not holding my breath waiting for Bush to apologize. The American people voted the Democrats into office in November mainly because of their dissatisfaction with the war in Iraq and Bush responds by calling for a "surge" of an additional 21,500 troops. The man has no respect for the American people.

Clinton left some unfinished business behind too. Knowing you only have 4 years to do everything you wanted as ruler of the US isn't a very big time frame, and I don't expect the president to wind down his actions as his term ends. They usually leave some reference notes for the next president. I don't think Bush has anything to apologize for, except not always listening. Do you think all the Bushaters will apologize to him when he leaves office? For giving him such a hard time over a lot of nonsense?

His party is already in dire straits as attested to by the results of the Midterm election. His admission of guilt with respect to the Iraq affair, War on Terror, international policy, or domestic activities will only drive the nail further into the Republican coffin. Just the pressure alone, from his already mangled party, will dissuade him from any act of contrition.
Secondly, his own hubris is so great that I doubt he could marshal up the will to simply say I am sorry. I recall a news anchor asking Bush whether he regretted anything, no matter trivial, about his Presidency. Bush’s response was very telling. Instead of answering the question, he commented on the difficulty of the question, and expressed his wish that the anchor would have given him that question in written form before the interview so that he could prepare a statement. In other words Bush doesn’t feel guilty about anything. What do you expect from a man who thinks his Presidency is a result of divine mandate?

Why don't we hope for the best, regardless of political party. Let's hope those who doubted him owe him an apology. Wouldn't we be better off if it ends up that way?
He's going to be president anyway for the next two years. Let's pray for a little success, rather than expect the worst.

No, There is no need for him to. The defeatocrats need to apologize to him and this nation for disrupting the job at hand. Protecting this country.
We are in a fight for Our very existence and Our way of life. You people better wake up to that fact. Just because slick willie ignored it doesn't mean you have to be dumb and follow in his footsteps!

Apologize for what? Protecting our country? Having morals & convictions? I think not.
