America like any other country has many problems inspite of being the super power.Economically,it is well up,ideologically, they debate all their concerns within the right framework of the goverment system and are said to have the best democracy.The rule of law is at its peak. In my imagination... I think it would be great if everyone was temporarily sterilized at birth, and then once they are ready for a child, they could apply for a licence to reproduce. They would have to prove their understanding of the responsibilies of parenthood, and pass a basic criminal background check to make sure they weren't pedophiles and such. What are your thoughts?

Is it possible for a person under 18 (minor) to be finiancially responsible for anything under the law? If I cannot sign business contracts or get a credit card how can I be helf financially responsible? I was surprised to find a "news" link on yahoo was actually not news but an article paid for by the Democratic National Committee. It was a derogatory claim about a Republican. At the bottom it says, "Paid for and authorized by the Democratic National Committee."

Isn't there some election laws that prevent this? For instance let's say Fox News carried an advertisement from the RNC as a news story... I don't think I've ever seen that before so I suspect there must be a law against it. I certaintly haven't seen it on Yahoo or Google before. Anyone know anything about this stuff?

Can we honestly expect alcoholics to make good decisions? Thats like asking a "crack head" to not use too much crack when its heavaly available. The government classifies them both as having diseases, but they're thrown in jail instead of recieving help. I think it's an easy way to pay for law enforcement, and thats why nothing has been done.
