As an American, I can relate to patriots fighting for their country against foreign troops propping up a colonial regime. I do not think they are my enemy and I do believe they threaten me in any way.

La Bamba - I am concerned about the non-Iraqis fighting US forces, but an overwhelming number of the insurgents are Iraqis. And, of course, the country providing the most "non-Iraqi" fighters is America.

RAT - try to keep up. This is America, not Nazi Germany. We have free speech. And I am allowed to question why we are fighting the Sunnis in Iraq, just like we questioned why we were fighting the Viet Cong in the 60s. Another unjust war.

More Americans should be like you.
The Iraqis fighting the invaders are not only Saddam's loyalists. Most are fighting the invasion itself.
Bush and the media do not say that at all, but cannot give a serious reason why Iraqis are fighting, winning and not stopping.
God forbid Repugs to think so clearly, so logically - they will have a major headache if they do!!!!.

They are hurting themselves in the long run.
Americans will no longer fight this war, soon enough. And when we leave Al Qeada and the underground Baathists will prevent normal Iraqis from having a real future. These people are being manipulated to fight against a country that wants a stable Iraq. Sure Americans may be out for themselves, but a stable Iraq is good for the entire region, not just U.S. interests. Iran and SA will rush in as soon as we pack our bags, and a civil war will become a regional one.

I don't see how blowing up a car bomb in a market crowded with kids and civilians or torturing and executing random people is in ANY way similar to patriots fighting a colonial regime. The battles in Iraq are two religious sects trying to exterminate one another and US troops are caught trying to restore some sort of order.

definite. it ought to be defined to be that. nevertheless many might call them terrorists and etc... that's label. American has a blood stained flag and for somebody to question whether that's 'treasonous' or no longer... to question the flag... is an act of cowardice. Bush and administration have thrown certainty down the rest room and haven't any know for the rights of people or Iraqi electorate. this is all a smoke reveal and many purchase it. For any to call our president or vice-president 'honest'... one ought to learn the info. they do no longer look to be. I despise what they have executed to this united states and to others besides... and in case you want to call me a traitor for conversing the actuality the terrific i be attentive to it... then you definately ought to circulate look in a mirror and mirror on why you help liars.

If the foreign invaders happen to be part of the U.S. military then, the Iraqis fighting against foreign invaders are my enemies. No one can shoot at an American and call themselves my friend.

We are in Iraq at the continued request of the legally installed and sovereign Nation of Iraq! The Fighters you are siding with are the Enemies of the country of Iraq and us!
If you are supporting and siding with them, YOU are declaring yourself to be an enemy, or at least an enemy sympathizer of the United States!
I hope that you realize the very dangerous grounds you are treading on!
They are not your enemy, because just like them, you are ours!
ADDED---LHFP--There is three distinct similarities between the Iraq problem and what occurred in Vietnam!
-The Viet Cong were supported and supplied by China, who we did not challange directly!
-The Shia Militias are Funded and equiped by Iran, who we are not yet engaging directly!
I am sure you are going to retort that it is the sunnis you are supporting-Iran, Shia, is attempting to arm and fund Ham-as, sunni's all to further chaos and conflict that benefits their goals-believe me when I tell you, they are more than willing to help Al-qaeeda in Iraq!
-Both efforts were undermined by our own people due to dissenting views from the Media! To our eventual defeat!or embarrasment!
Other than that, the better comparison is the Israeli's and the Pallestinians!
None of which changes the fact that you yourself, have proclaimed yourself to be sided with the forces we are battling!
Bad LHFP, Bad!!!!

If someone invaded my country in the name of empire or any other reason, I'd fight them. Saddam was a U.S propped up monster, but the country was stable. bush has brought Chaos.
If we leave, 2 things will happen, fighting between the Shiite and Sunni will escalate. The sunni's will rely on Al Queda to win. If the sunni win, they will kick out the Al Queda because in reality they can't stand eachother. Al Queda can't stand the Shiite even more. there are complex issues going on in Iraq. The American people don't know the half of it.
