Members of Congress do not have their golden retirement parachutes based around social security...in fact I believe they do not have to pay into social security even. They can get hundreds of thousands without tax worries.

Do you think it is fair that they do not pay social security like the rest of us have to do? Depending on how long they are in office, they can get a very hefty retirement and not paid any toward soc.sec.

We invaded Iraq in March 2003. Now it's 2007. That's closing in on 4 years.

Did I miss a couple of years in there?

Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black Muslim from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white atheist from Wichita, Kansas.
Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii.

When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a radical Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a Muslim school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. When asked, he points out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school."

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence on him again.

So in a world of differences, is it right to discriminate because of ones religion?

Although the American Constitution includeds freedom of religion, are individulas of other religions not disriminated against in politics?

All this comes down to is the separation of church and state: something this country has seemingly forgotten about over the past presidential term and a half. Funny how that happened when the ex-majority party suddenly became such hot heads for God and Christians. You know what they thought? “Hey, people are stupid enough to take this into consideration, then we can sneak everything behind their back!”

This is why we have red states and blue states. When election time comes running through, it's never an issue of our country's problems anymore, it's all about "not being patriotic" or "running too far away from Christian influence". Where is God in Iraq? Where was God in Vietnam?

They say in itty bitty print --- so tiny you are clearly supposed to miss it -- that this question isn't an endorsement.

But if thats so, what is it? Will the Republicans and other Democrats get equal time?

I reported Mrs. Clinton for abuse -- SPAM. Did you?

This is an offshoot of Hillary's question, but this is the **** she is proposing. Personally, I prefer to keep my income and find a health insurance policy that fits me and my families needs, not have the government tell me what they think I need. As far as making insurance affordable- how about lowering our taxes so that people can afford health care? You think premiums are too high- thank the lawyers.

I know, everybody doesn't do it but so many people here have to preface their sometimes ridiculous questions with some snide remark aimed at the other party. Can't we have an intelligent debate on an issue rather than an orgy of insults?

Overcrowded prisons and the war in Iraq. I think we should empty our prisons, send the inmates to Iraq, give them a gun, and tell them if they stay alive for two years............their free. If the run off, where can they go? No passport to get home.............
If our tax money is paying for the war and for prisons, cut the budget somewhere!
