Most states' bar associate REQUIRES applicants to have good moral characters, and you will have to disclose if you have felony charges (in progress) or convictions. Of course, lying here is out of question.

In theory, you should be able to become a laywer, but in reality, you may have significant problems. You should contact your state's bar association before going furher.

Of course, if the charges are cleard or dropped, you'd probably be ok.
