Illegal Alien Myths

1. Illegal Aliens pay taxes - They pay taxes on stolen Americans ID’s, and at the gas pump.

2. Illegal Aliens do jobs Americans won’t do – What job won’t an American do? Anybody ever see the show dirty jobs? All those jobs are held by Americans. Swift meats was raided by Immigration and had to hire 900 Americans to replace the now arrested illegal’s. They raised their wages and filled their ranks, with legal American workers.

3. Illegal Aliens don’t draw on social services and they don’t vote – If they aren’t drawing on social services then why are organizations like MALDEF and LA RAZA fighting so hard to stop laws that require you to prove citizenship to draw on social services or produce ID to vote? They are not paying court fees and lawyer fees to fight over a nonexistent problem.

The simply fact of the matter is this: our government has no interest in stopping them. The Republican congress that was running for re-election passed a quickie bill that

...in order to win the war in Iraq. Is it for Iraq to be stabilized? For the insurgents to stop coming into Iraq? What are we trying to do there? What constitutes winning the war in Iraq? The second part of the question would be, can we reach those goals?

We are American born, Is it true college is free to canadians? Would our children become eligible, if we became citizens? How do we go about relocating, and giving up our rights here in America to become Canadian citizens?? I understand taxes are higher there, but with socialized med. they seem to have a better more equal and fair health care system, than our privitized one that none of us can afford! It just seems to be a better place to live.

bravely fighting in Afganistan? I know feathers were ruffled when Canada did not commit to the Iraq war, but we are still fighting in Afganistan. The NORAD pact between our countries states that if either Canada or the USA are attacked our militaries would both respond as one.
Canada went to Afganistan to fight the Taliban and hunt Osama with the US. The Canadian army is still there now and handling most of the fighting in order to help the US put more troops in Iraq.

I was just wondering if the American public realizes the Canadian army is leading the war in Afganistan and still bravely fighting to defend the honour of our American neighbors over 911. It is a well known fact that the Canadian Army is engaging the enemy more than the other countries put together.

Not totally trying to toot our horn here, but I don't think the US media tells Americans what we are doing for them.

I have a general POA for my husband since he is in Iraq. I need to get a replacement title for his truck because he is giving the truck to his Dad and the Dad needs to register it in his state, but can't do so without the title. If I fill out the replacement title form and put in all the correct info will I be able to have it notarized if I have the POA?

My patient has colorectal cancer, she has been told that her cancer is benign, and has been found out early, so theres no worry. her daughter, a nurse told her that. (but is malignant, and i'm the nurse in charge of her.)
In an asian context, her daughter claimed that by revealing the diagnosis to her mother, she would "lose hope on living".
Therefor, she has only been notified of a "benign tumor" and has underwent a colorectomy, which was to no avail, and now, is undergoing radiotherapy.

I was the nurse who was asked to be the witness, for the consent of her colorectomy.

Scenario - patient kept in dark about diagnosis, but still undergoes procedures, and signs consent. I am nurse in charge, witnessed consent, and not telling patient diagnosis (breech of patient's right at request of patient's daughter)

I would like to know, "how screwed i am?" in other words, what are the legal, and ethical issues i am bound to given this scenario?

scenario with regards to singapore context.
Thx
