People abuse it, an it's a waste of money. That money could go towards better things, such as better schools in the U.S not towards someones drug addiction.

Why doesn't the government get rid of it? Or people on welfare, should pay that money back to government in a certain amount of time or face imprisonment.

This is just because I'm curious if others have dealt with this. A co-worker of mine was arrested last week at a sobriety checkpoint for DUI. They smelled beer on him, they pulled him out and put him through the show. But here's the thing... he had two beers only. I know, because I was there with him when he consumed them before he left the bar. It was a Friday, post work, happy hour thing, he could not have been there more than 30 minutes. When I asked him about the field check (walking the straight line, touching your nose, etc.) he says there was no problem. The problem came when he blew a .03 on the breathalyzer. My first response was, well why were you arrested? You were well under the legal limit, why were you arrested? That's what he said too. He still looked stunned. He was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence. Not INTOXICATED, but under the influence of alcohol.

Does this sound right to you? Can they really do that?

"Reports have indicated that 60 percent of California's Eighteenth-Street Gang are illegal aliens. This gang is reportedly ''involved in many types of criminal activities, including auto theft, carjacking, drive-by shootings, drug sales, arms trafficking, extortion, rape, murder for hire, and murder.''

Similarly, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, has reported that, ''The majority of [Ma.Sa.-Thirteen], members are foreign nationals in this country illegally.'' Newsweek has termed [Ma.Sa.-Thirteen], , which has an estimated 20,000 members in the United States, ''the most dangerous gang in America.'' It has even been alleged to be negotiating with al Qaeda to smuggle terrorists into our country.

It's hard to put in a question but basically, since we've not yet completed our "campaign" in Iraq and people are already thinking of pulling out...haven't we invested so much in this wa?...wouldn't it be bad to pull out now? Could you answer in a way that connects to the financial losses? Thank you

can someone tell me why our government killed J.F.K. and george w. is allowed to run a sycotic rampage with no limit on what craziness he can come up with. everybody loved J.F.K. he was totally for freedom of information, and working with the peoples interests in mind {what we wanted}. and george w. is allowed to run amuck. and do what ever he wants to regardless of what the people or congress wants. and he gets away with it. over and over and over again. i think we should all get together and take an ad out on the t.v. letting the world know that our president does not speak for the people and does not act on behalf of what the people want. he should AT LEAST be IMPEACHED. why in the world are we not IMPEACHING the crazy physco? he's like a runaway train wreck that never stops! i used to be proud to be an american. now i'm just embarrased. THANKS G.W.B. FOR RUNNING AMERICA INTO THE GROUND AT 100 MILES AN HOUR. he's got to be the anti-christ. REVOLUTION-howz the weather underground?

Do you think due to recent and past events, that the decrease in our rights, and an increase in taxes and conrol over us.? That individual states will be forced by there citizens to rebuke the Federal Government. The unanswered qustions, and outright lies about 911, The fact all evidence points to Bush, Cheney and others in the administration of implicity, the fact 77% of citizens mistrust the direction we are being lead. The fact that more people everyday open there eyes to the truth of 911, and other events in recent times. Wouldn't it be so much better to not have live under this growing tyranny? Do you think it possible for a new revolution of our morals, and our quick descent into an abyss of total control by our government? Would you support your states action by enlisting in its military defense? Would it be worth it to you?It would be a no brainer for me, I would do it wthout a second thought, are you not tired of this fascism and abuse of power that growd more every day? I am

We just found out my brother is the father of a 1year old boy (DNA test). The boy's mother (bro's ex) did not want the child and left him with her aunt. The aunt claims the mother signed over her rights. I know the court will not grant custody to my bro. How do I go about getting custody? We've contacted a lawyer and of course he said we will have to go to court. I do not know where to begin or what my chances are. I am a 25 y/o single female, soon to be college grad, with a good job. Th aunt is 50+ divorcee with a 2 bedroom house and 6 ppl living in it. The mother was on drugs and the child has special needs. Please advise.

No such thing as cheep labor. It will come back to haunt every American Citizen in the form of health care benifits and welfare for these people. The gov. has frozen all sec.8 assistance for Americans including the elderely in favor of aiding illegal immigrants. All for big business. Thanks Mr. Bush

How do you feel about selling your USA Constitutional rights to companies like Yahoo or AOL. Unless you give up your rights, you cannot obtain their dependent services. It is WRONG for the United States to allow these companies to force you to give up your rights by agreement to their bogus terms! We are sell outs just because we are greedy for their services.

I recently handed in a one week resignation letter to my supervisor. A few weeks later I noticed that on my paystub I was paid minimum wage for 40hrs. I then asked my supv what was going on and he said since I failed to give a two week notice, it was company policy to pay minimum wage. Is this legal?

I think so! The evidence against the accuser is overwhelming! And it has caused alot of emotional suffering for those guys from Duke. Why is it that prosecutors seem to have immunity from the law? Obstruction of justice is a crime!!! Yet it has been said that Nifong may not face any punishment for his crime. Hopefully those students will sue!! The guy deserves the most maximum sentence possible! I have nothing against law and order; but when people who enforce the law commit crimes, the punishment should be greater for them than someone who does not enforce laws. Nothing is worse than crooked cops or district attorneys.

Corruption in the govt. is in place becauuse all the congress people want money for the re-election. If we fund it from public funds the special interest and big corperations and big industries go away and put the govt. back in the hands of the People.
