He's popular but he's incredibly inexperienced. All he has under his belt is 2 years in the Senate and a bit in his state legislature. I don't think enough Americans will trust him with leading our country, I certainly don't. His racial difference makes it even harder.

I think him to be quite a strong candidate despite the scars that have been dug up of his past (nothingthat serious at though). Although he is at this point showing to be weaker than Hillary Clinton, I believe tht he will provide good oposition for the primaries. In either case, if the democrats are to win (which they probably will now) they will make history with either an african american presdient or a woman president. Although there are heavy doses of racism still dissolved in some sections of american society i dont think race will be a major factor that will influence voting. At this point I find that even african americans will vote for hillary more as their views are closer. Lets hope the caucasians do the same and vote based on views rather than caste. By the way i think he already has the nomination.

Do you think he will get the nomination? More than likely
Do you think he will win? Depends on who is running against him - if Rudy or Colin are running - I'd pick one of them
Do you think our racist country will accept anyone that isn't a white christan over 50? After Bush I think we're all looking for some change - no matter what its wrapped in.

1. I don't really care. He is not that interesting.
2. Not in 2008, but someday unless he totally melts down like Howard Dean.
3. No.
4. A little defensive, eh? You forgot to throw in MALE white christian over 50. Your assumption is wrong about racism, and the media will kiss the a** of any black candidate who has a breath of a chance of winning a Democratic nomination (not Jesse, not Sharpton, and not Shirley Chisholm) and make him or her out to be the Second Coming.

I HATE Obama. He looks like a sniveling weasel with giant ears that poke way out of his head. I do, unfortunately, think he will get the nomination. I do think he will win. I hope that our country will reject him because of his race. Not that I'm racist, but I think that the president should be a white male. No females either. Just to keep tradition.

Sadly, no, no and yes.
The Dems have to realize that they need to cater to an electorate that is ill-informed, religious and socially conservative. All of those factors helped Dubya, and at least two of them would hurt Obama's chances. I wonder if Hillary has a better shot, but the right has such an extreme dislike for her that I think it could turn ugly and she would fare no better.

i dont think he has a chance, personal feelings aside. Being black/middle eastern/whatever, is a lot for this country to swallow right now with the terrorism going on and all. We already have a muslim congressman & the whole issue with him & the Koran shoved down our throuts. Plus, his name is easily associated with OSAMA (bin laden) . Closed-minded people would easily create a negative connotation based on that similarity. there will always be racism, to a degree, and I'm sure that the people will make that clear in the polls

I love Mr. Obama, and I absolutely think he could be president of this racist country. I think he will inspire a lot of immigrants and non-white Americans to vote, based on his principles as well as the color of his skin. If majority can win over money, he will win.

I read his book "The Audacity of Hope" - seems like a very humanitarian type of person. I think he will win yes - perhaps the country needs a complete change. If anyone is interested in his book please feel free to e-mail me. I have it in e-book form.

You won't accept.
You're not like Peru, for example, that had Asian, white, Native American and mestizo presidents, that in the last 20 years.
