...in order to win the war in Iraq. Is it for Iraq to be stabilized? For the insurgents to stop coming into Iraq? What are we trying to do there? What constitutes winning the war in Iraq? The second part of the question would be, can we reach those goals?

I gotta say, if your fighting for this country, and you feel like you should outwardly oppose this war, then you have every right. It's pretty easy to sit here safe at home and criticize them for political reasons. It's also pretty cowardly. I appreciate the second comment. I'm not sure I completely agree, but it seems honest, and I hope your right.

We have to slow down the attack from outside terrorist groups with their need to destabilize the government. We must finish training the police & military so they can effectively defend their own country. When we can leave & the Iraqis can control their own destiny without Iran & Syria controlling it, we have won.
Yes, I believe we can reach these goals, it may require the stupid safeguards to be loosen. Our country has the only military expected to annouce itself to the enemy & then get crucified in the media afterwards anyway. War is ugly & meant to be ugly. That is what makes everyone want to end it. Why did Germany & Japan give up? - the cost for them got too high & it got too ugly.

President Bush has answered this question in pretty much every speech since the fall of Baghdad. I'll give you three guesses why people still don't know:

1) They don't watch the speeches
2) They believe everything the media says
3) The media intentionally obfuscates everything Bush says.

Read my lips:

The #1 objective for the US military in Iraq is to train Iraqi security so that they can secure their own people without us.

That's the exit strategy. It has always been there; it has never changed. There's nothing more to it than this and there never has been.

Yes I believe it is. and if other nations would help it would be great!

Or the ones here, who swore oath to defend would follow thru and stop whineing that would help as well. I guess they thought they went in for money benefits travel and when it came down to utilizing them for war, they can say foul ....in a volunteer Army.

But then it may have been for the uniform alone, ya know how chicks dig that kind of stuff..but it wasn't for the right reason regardless.
