Could it be that the people of Germany and Japan were so utterly defeated and sick of war that any change from the status quo was better than their current existance?

All just guess the massive un controlled waves of mexicans. Its easy to see why we dont want them.

"Its calculated that 4.7 million Californians lived in poverty in 1999 and a third of them lived in Los Angeles County, with Latinos by far the largest single poverty-stricken ethnic group. Latinos were a quarter of the Californians in poverty in 1969, a third in 1979, 44 percent in 1989 and more than 50 percent in 1999, reflecting both rapid growth in the state's Latino population and the simple fact that so many are immigrants with little education. Half of Latino Californians living in poverty are in Los Angeles.

At that rate 75% of latinos ARE currently in poverty.

or in the newspapers or see on t.v.?

I always see them trying to state facts and all of their facts are from a website, newspaper or t.v.Then they try to tell the ones who have been through it with themselves or somebody that they don't know their facts. That's the best source of "facts" to me.How ignorant are can you people possibly be?

I read an article on MSN.com, President Bush was being interviewed when he made the following comments.

“I’m not going to try to be popular and change principles to do so,” Bush said when asked about his standing with the public.

In the interview, Bush rejected an assertion that, time and again, his administration hasn’t been straight with the American people about Iraq. He said his spirits were strong.

“I really am not the kind of guy that sits here and says, ’Oh gosh, I’m worried about my legacy,”’ Bush said.

Doesn't this sound a little callous? And reinforce the fact that President Bush is on his own agenda and doesn't give two cents about anyone else but his own interests?

Please give details on all political tiers. Senators vs. Generals vs. Mayors vs. Sheriffs vs. Counsulmen vs. Alderman vs. who knows... Skip the jurisdiction. I know a Military man can't tell a Mayor what to do but he may be able to say something to a State Representative (or not). That is just an example. Don't dweel on that one. Thanks.

I want to know. Is it because of the amount of time it would take to make a decision? Is this a phrase a famous general once said? We'll all be hearing it a lot over the next couple of weeks but is it really true? Obviously a committee of 600+ lawmakers is a bit ridiculous, but no commmittee at all? What do you think?

I had been driving my car at night and was a bit drunk(stupid, stupid) When I saw blue lights flashing so I pulled over. Even stupider I turned off my car and rolled up the windows(paranoid) When the cop came to the window and knocked I turned on the dome light and stupidly opened a brand new bottle of vodka in front of him and started drinking. I then opened the window and apologized. The cop, looked at me for a second and asked me to call my wife to pick me up. After my wife came to pick me up while the cop was holding my keys the cop told my wife that he would have arrested me if he didn't see me take a drink from the bottle? Why is this???

I like the idea of skimming 40% off the top for any invader who wires money back to mexico as a small way of recovering there expenses racked up here in America. Jose puts out 300 dollars to western union blammo, when maria gets her check in Mex she 120 dollars less stolen drug money. We win. I like.
