Here let me break this down for you. The House has passed the minimum wage hike. It now has to go and be debated and passed by the Senate. They have the right to add amendments to what the House sent them. It then has to go back to the House for revote. If they add none, it goes to the President, who can sign it into law or veto it.
The minimum wage takes the federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $5.85 two months after it is signed into law. One year later it goes up to $6.55. Then finally one year after that it goes up to $7.25.

Minors and adults have the same wage. There is a training wage in some states but I am not sure if the federal law will address that. The training wage has nothing to do with the age but the experience on the job.

Minors make the same wages as adult wages as it is, and yes it will AFFECT you. If you make minimum wage, then you just got a raise.....when it takes effect.
To the guy above me-- Minimum wage is the same for part-time and full-time workers. It makes no difference.

Changing the minimum wage, will affect all those in these entry level positions, and very long overdue I may add. But, if you know of employers ripping people off(especially youths), I would seek the Labor Board in your State, they will make the employer pay back that person who have complained and won their case, at least 10 times of what is owed to them.
I'm more curious on how it will effect the cost of living...thanks for your question, Bud!

it will effect minors. Increasing minimum wage will cause employers not to hire minors and/or not as many because they will effect their bottom line more than before.
