How can Dems expect a person to support their family on $7.25 an hour? That's a joke! They shouldn't waste their time only raising to 7.25 when they will just have to raise it again to get people out of poverty through work.

They should make the minimum wage at least $10 an hour or more and mandate 100% employer-paid health insurance too.
And in Europe they get like 6 weeks holiday each year, and entry level employees barely get any vacation time.

I'm so tired of Conservatives trying to steal Lincoln. The Republican party of the 19th century was completely different than today. They were the ones who called for radical reform to the instituion of slavery, does that sound conservative to you? Sounds kind of LIBERAL to me.
If another Republican boasts about how they are from the "Party of Lincoln" again, I hope that they are personally haunted by the ghost of Lincoln for the remainder of their life.

Is that where the "war" is based? Or was that specifically to remove Saddam or to find WMD? Isn't WMD actually in Iran?
Why are there just as many if not more Islamofascists in the UK and France combined than in Iraq,
so if that's where we are going to fight a "war" what's the reasoning behind it
since Saddam didn't like the Taliban or Al qaeda and kept them out of his country?
Did all the "terrorists" from the four corners go to Iraq when Americans got there?

Was this what we voted for on November 7th, a possible escalation of the Iraq war into Iran and Syria? How can pretend to want a democracy in Iraq when we don't have one here?

Maybe what's good for the goose is not good for the gander.

The biggest difference between the US and Iraq is that Iraq has no idea on how to sustain a democracy, and they never wanted it in the first place. The history of Iraq and the circumstances of it's past are not the same or even remotely similar to the USA's.

So isn't trying to take the infastructure of Iraq and turning it into a Jeffersonian Democracy like trying to force a fish to live out of water?

I want to know the best but i might know what it is. I saw this one machine gun looking sniper rifle it wasn't totally silenced but wasn't loud either. I heard the bullet travels 7,000mph and the bullet is the largest in history it is a little more than half the length of your keyboard and it's width is similar to your computer speakers. So if anyone know's what gun i'm talking about tell me the name or just give me the name of the best sniper rifle in history that is still the best today and used or will be used.

today on jan. the 10th. i watched the "presidential speech" the main topic of it was if its a good idea for busg to send 20,000 US american soldiers to iraq. is this good? how will america react to this? Now in the paragraph below, is a caption of todays Live News from CNN...Not mine!!

President Bush acknowledged for the first time Wednesday that he erred by not ordering a military buildup in Iraq last year and said he was increasing U.S. troops by 21,500 to quell the country's near-anarchy. "Where mistakes have been made, the responsibility rests with me," Bush said.

IS THIS A GOOD IDEA OR WHAT? LOL. I WATCHED IT ON CNN, I DIDNT KNOW THAT THERE WAS A LIVE SPEECH.
AND I AM GLAD I WATCHED SOMETHING LIKE THIS. so any of you on yahoo answers, please give me an idea or your opinion to this. and clarify me of whats going on! i have no idea about politics. the only reason i watched it, because i love breaking news, and i enjoy seeing the president live on national TV.
