College releasing info without student's consent?

I'm an only child and used to live with my mom until college. She has not made healthy choices and associated herself with druggies and I chose not to be put in that situation and cut ties with her because of her actions. Her and her druggie boyfriend came to my college and requested information about me and my boyfriend. The director of student retention even gave a map of where to find our dorms, the ROOM numbers, and a bunch of other information that I thought was confidential. She gave out my boyfriend's info also. It is not safe for colleges to give out information to just anyone!!!! Is this illegal or did she have a right?

Can Republicans Be Trusted?

Every republican that I've ever met is some sort of criminal and liar. Once people say to me that they are Republican I don't get close to them for their filled with evil propoganda. Republicans also steal for I left my purse with a Republican associate and she ran off with it. Can the President be overthrown?

... so our almighty president has spoken.. has now outlined his so called " new " strategy for Iraq, has even taken, in a back handed manner some responsibiltity for the fiasco he has created... and in his great mind has decided that more than 20,000 more troops need to go to Iraq.
I have just one question.. Why should we beleive him.. why shoud we trust him... I for one do not. Bring our solderis home!

Does anyone know the % of Americans opposed to the war in Iraq?

Support is pathetic for a war that is costing us billions of tax dollars. It directly defies the will of the people. I think I read somewhere in polls something like 60-70% of us are opposed to it. Can someone back me up?

Is there a conspiracy to bankrupt the United States and piss off the rest of the world in the process?

Six years ago we had a budget surplus and probably the highest credit rating in the world. Now we are so far in debt that I am not sure they can get out of debt without a depression. I do not remember voting to spend all of this money on war. Please explain why you think there is or isn't a conspiracy.
