We declared war on Iraq on March 20, 2003 and War on Afghanistan on October 7, 2001

Two seperate wars, two seperate issues. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11

No, this country has not declared war since WWII. Everything since then has been a conflict, police action, or some other term. Congress did not declare war after 9/11. While we are at "war", technically, we are not.

No. There has not been a formal declaration of war by the US Congress since the US declared war on Japan, Italy and Germany in 1941. Most major military actions since then have had some sort of authorization from Congress but war has not been declared.

Bush used 9/11 as a vehicle to convince Congress to declare war on Iraq to "decapitate" its dictatorship, but the "war" was soon declared over after its major militia was defeated.
