... so our almighty president has spoken.. has now outlined his so called " new " strategy for Iraq, has even taken, in a back handed manner some responsibiltity for the fiasco he has created... and in his great mind has decided that more than 20,000 more troops need to go to Iraq.
I have just one question.. Why should we beleive him.. why shoud we trust him... I for one do not. Bring our solderis home!

Anton,your right it like vietnam except the dems werent in office this time when war broke out,but the dems are sure smashing any idea of victory,but if you cant see why we're there and should be there,than you agree with Ted Kennedy and hes the one responsible for thousands of South Vietnamese deaths after Capitol hill voted to cut and run during that era,so I guess history may be repeating itself,but this time it will hit us harder than just boat people coming here

He is not only the president, he is the commander in chief of our armed forces, he knows more about what is needed than you do and more than that what makes you think he would willingly do something not only wrong for the nation, but in leading to failure, guaranties him a terrible legacy? On top of that, we cannot just bring our soldiers home, the repercussions of such a move would be worse than anything else at this time.

Oh yeah, this is Vietnam.
We're dropping hundreds of thousands of tons of bombs and napalm everyday, most of our soldiers are wiping their butts with the American flag, and the city of Baghdad is going to fall any minute.
