It is my understanding, based upon looking at several websites, that Colorado is one of the states that does not have a specific emancipation of minor procedure.
A minor is recognized by the law as "emancipated" from the parent or parents, if they have the assent of the parents to live separate, and can financially support themselves, or are married or in the military service.
Here is what the statute says: (45) "Emancipated juvenile", as used in section 19-2-511, means a juvenile over fifteen years of age and under eighteen years of age who has, with the real or apparent assent of the juvenile's parents, demonstrated independence from the juvenile's parents in matters of care, custody, and earnings. The term may include, but shall not be limited to, any such juvenile who has the sole responsibility for the juvenile's own support, who is married, or who is in the military.
Title 19, Art. 1, §19-1-103
Okay, once again, Co does not have any set statute for actual emancipation of a minor. You would have to be living on your own and then prove in court you are "self emancipated".

Talk to your slave owner, I'm pretty sure we fought a war for you to be emancipated. Now unless you're into that slave sort of thing, then its up to your master to release you.

Nothing, Lincoln did it for you. Do you mean something other than freed from slavery?
