I am travelling to Europe in May - the UK, Germany, and maybe somewhere else. My passport was issued in '99 and is still valid for 2 years, but, as it was a replacement for a lost passport it was consular issued abroad and is not machine readable. If I understand correctly, the machine readable requirement does not apply to US citizens?

I only need this passport to get out of and return to the US - I am a dual citizen and can use a different passport in Europe.

Thanks.

The way I see it, any possible benefit to those making minimum wage would be offset by the increase in price of goods and services by businesses trying to offset the increased cost of labor.

Recently, I was attacked by a pitbull.
The owner of the pitbull owns a total of 2 pitbulls, which is illegal in Ohio.
He also does not have proper insurance coverage for the dogs, so he was fined $3,000 by the dog warden.
It was just brought to my attention that the dog warden tested the dogs for rabies and isn't going to put the dogs to sleep unless they test positive. Is this legal?
I would think that by law, the dog should have to be put down because it is a threat to humans.
Anyone familiar with pitbulls laws or vicious dog laws in general?

If you are arrested as a juvenile, is it ok to put that you have never plead guilty or no contest to a criminal offense other than a minor traffic violation, or will it show up as falsifying an application?

Suppose the President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, and Secretary of the Treasury were incapacitated and the use of nuclear weapons was imperative to the national security of the United States. Who would have the authority to launch the nuclear weapons? Would it just be the next in line? Or would the generals be able to hit the button?

and you check to see if you go in the night before, and it says to call between 11am and 1pm, what exactly does that mean? If the courts "close" at 5pm, wouldn't that be kind of dumb to be called in after 1pm? Or can you still be chosen for a panel at 4:50 and be forced to return the next day (when its a one day/one trail thing?)

You guys took the office on the platform that you would "solve" the iraq war. But how come I haven't heard a good plan for Iraq beside running away? Is this new democratic congress a scam?

I just heard Fienstien say that a democracy wont't work in Iraqbecause they have never had a democracy before and they don't have the infrastructure. What did our country have before we had our democracy? Nothing. You can take nothing and make something from it Ms. Fienstein. Or did you and your democrat cronies think that our country has existed since the beginning of time with a democratic government. Not only is she ignorant of how her own country was formed, she is degrading to the people of Iraq. Anybody else hear her comments on Larry King Live?

It's amazing how easily brainwashed people are when they actually think they can

"Win" a war on 'terror' or 'drugs', it's akin to saying you can "win" a war on premarital sex.

And there are just as many if not more Islamofascists in the UK and France as there is in Iran or Iraq, so why don't we force our buddy Blair to give up all the hoards of Taliban sympathisers in his nation chanting "death to America" and "kill Bush" in the streets of London under their government's protection?
Many terrorists are actually UK nationals, wouldn't it make more sense to force Bush's pet Blair to force his terrorist sympathiser Muslims into exile?

I didn't like the answers I got earlier, please, If you have no real knowledge of this topic, don't answer. I am asking cause I need help. If you aren't gonna be of any help. Then don't answer.

My Fiance was called back up by the IRR last April. We were told that if he signed back up for the remainder of his original contract, that he would no longer owe back his previous re-enlistment Bonus. The Army is now taking 55% of his gross pay. We have a family to support. We Need Help! He's in School reclassifying his MOS, and bringing home what equals to minimum wage!
Also, Is he supposed to be getting Family Separation?
DFAS won't answer calls, letters, or emails.
Help!!!!!!

Yes, he was outed, for failing a PT test. HIs commander at the time was a real a**.
It was an IRR recruiter that hunted him down. If it wasn't "legal" to re-enlist him by military standards, it wouldn't have happened.

apparently their prison cells are like a home from home, usually consisting of fairly decent carpets, nice curtains, tv's and videos, and they don't have to switch the tv/vcr's off at lights out, and from what i've seen, alot of them don't even feel guilt or shame, so they don't suffer in that way either.

what do you think.
