I broke up with this guy 3 months ago. A month after, someone put sugar in my gas tank (hmmmm, guess who). I know it was him cuz he admitted to damaging another womans car for not paying him back money. I said I saw him do it and I filed charges against him. Than I dropped them cuz I didn't want to be bothered and I want to move on.....even though I know he did it.

Now he wants to sue me for destruction of property for a torn rug and a scratched counter top. Also for harrassing phone calls when we were having a fight while we ere dating.Does he really stand a chance against me?

Why do people always use the word "we" when discussing things the government does? For example when people say "We bombed Iraq". Why do they say "we"? Did YOU actually partiocipate in that activity? If not, why use the word "we"?

Has there ever been a government program that has accomplished its supposed goals? For example, the "war on terror" has created more terror, the "war on drugs" has led to more violent street crrime and a greater variety and potency of available drugs. The "war on poverty" has created more poverty and a permanent welfare class. The war on Iraq, which was supposed to help the people of Itraq, has turned their lives into living hell. Has the government ever instituted a program that did not make things worse for the people that it is supposed to help?

Are you unpatriotic because you don't own a gun? I mean you did realize that this was a right given us by the founders as well, right?

Keep in mind that our current president has not done a very good job for this nation. I feel that a democrate is needed in office again. I remember when we had Bill clinton I did not worry about the state of the nation, I knew we where going strong and doing well. Having Bush in office has made me uneasy especially when he has put this nation a war we don't need to be in and lied about his intentions for doing so or atleast has not giving good enough reasons for it. He still has yet to prove we need to be where we are. I think Clinton is a good choice because she was a Strong active first lady and has seen how things are ran and would be a very decive person in office and would help correct the current state of affairs in this country that has gone down hill since her husband left office. I only wish she would have Divorced BIll I think that will hurt her to not have divorced him. How do you feel?

Who should be the democratic nominee for president? Does anyone think they'll actually run together? Is this all just a publicity stunt? And on that note, isnt politics in general one constant publicity stunt?

I mean after all; if everyone turned gay it would mean the end of mankind because there would be no more reproduction. I know I may offend alot of Gay people, but to me the idea of homosexuality being an accepted lifestyle in our society is disturbing! Its not that I hate gay people; but rather I cannot understand their lifestyle. And I cannot see how 2 people of the same sex can be attracted to each other. And I do not believe that someone is "born gay" because of some genetic or hormone factor. I think thats all Bull ****. What causes people to be this way?

went through prequal with seller's lender, sent all financial docs and personal information to him at least 2 times and sent him my paystub about 3 times...the deal went on for about 5 months. the very last month of when the sellers had told me is the move in date, is when I get a phone call asking me if I had turned in all my paperwork I said yes but I will talk to lender. Called my lender and did not hear back for about 2 weeks. meanwhile I was also called in to pick out flooring and wall color, etc. Contacted lender and seller via email and another phone call, 2 weeks before the estimated move in date and he tells me that I am not qualified for the home. He had calculated wrong and entered the wrong income when calculating! Shocked! Almost half the year's efforts gone! I had even put down a deposit that sat in the escrow office idle for MONTHS! I want to wring his neck. What should I do?

I dated this woman for almost 2 years and we broke up about 3 months ago. Someone put sugar in her gastank and then she tried to press charges against me for doing it just because I once had another womans car messed up because she wouldn't pay me back money that I gave her.So I had to spend money on a lawyer for her saying that she saw me do this and then she dropped the charges.
Well, during the relationship, there were some damages, counter scratch and the rug is torn and some harrassing phone calls during our relationship. Will I be able to sue her and get some money out of the deal. Is it worth getting a lawyer or do you think I stand a chance without one.

Please tell me what you think.

( Please read ALL the facts )

The facts:

1) Lincoln, according to his stepmother, "was not very fond of girls as he seemed to me." We know that there is scant evidence of any but perfunctory heterosexual behavior.

2) We know that as a mischievous adolescent, Lincoln wrote a bawdy poem about a potential gay marriage.

3) We know that as president, Lincoln immediately befriended a young captain who was stationed at the White House, took him everywhere with him for a while, introduced him to senior officials, and slept with him in the same bed in the White House when his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, was away. They even shared a night-shirt. To those who say this was normal for nineteenth century men, I wonder if they could find another example of a president asking a captain to sleep with him in his bed when his wife was away.
