WOW - - I just read her post. Its says the exact opposite. Here is some real good advice: BOTH OF YOU GROW UP. Move on.
No attorney will touch that case, hers either. You children just need to be separated.

It doesn't sound like you have much of a case; you would have to be able to prove that she caused the damages to the counter and rug (she is just going to say that you did it) and she is going say that you are only suing to be malicious, trying to get back at her for filing charges with sugar the gas tank and that you have maliciously messed up another woman's car after she wouldn't pay you back. It has also been three months since you broke up and if you have made no attempt in writing to try to get her to pay for the damages, it is not going to look good for you in Court.
In Small Claims Court, you don't have to have an attorney, but you do have to prove your case by the preponderance of the evidence and it just doesn't seem to be there.
Would be best to cut your losses with this woman and move on.

I doubt you could sue her. You'd have to prove that she caused the counter-scratch and the torn rug, which would be tough to do.
Also, if you didn't report the harrassing phone calls to the police at the time they were made, you'd probably have a difficult time proving them in a civil case.
I'd think about getting a restraining order, if you think she's going to give you trouble at all.

The judge probably wouldn't take it seriously since you waited until after she caused legal trouble for you, it seems like retaliation. Your damages occurred first, but you waited until after she accused you for you to accuse her... The judge will just throw it out after lecturing you. She dropped the charges anyway, right? She was probably told it would be too hard to prove without videotape. I would say don't waste your time and move on with your life.

Joe_man - just cut your losses now, she will kick your butt in court, since most judges seem to sway their judgment against men, period. Its not worth the crap talk, that will take place in court and with others present I might add, and all the while, this Judge is thinking how he or she will make YOUR life miserable.
Your heart will start racing, you'll get goosebumps, and cold sweats, and all the while the Judge keeps passing her a Kleenex, while she sheds alligator tears...lol... and glares over at you sternly....LOL....give it up man.

I wouldn't waste my time, but if you can prove she did those things, take her to "small claims court". You don't need a lawyer for that.
