mike b and Judy r have a good point. Hitler died in 1945 so he probably didn't have a strategy after that. for the info before he died there are hundreds off books on the subject he even wrote some himself. in my personal experience the Internet is not always the most reliable source.

History says Hitler had died in 1945. He waged the war for six years from 1939 to 1945. Some of his strategies were brilliant like 'blitzkrieg'. The way he used the air force to intimidate the enemy is copied by the major powers even today. I think Hitler had showed the whole world how to use the submarines in a war. The way of functioning of 'Gestapo' has been a matter of study for many powerful countries immediately after the Second World War. The functioning of SS troops, to suppress a large number of people shows the psychology war to hilt.

Though he has all these credentials he remains to be a cruel dictator. You can read about him in "THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH".

Military history books narrate the military strategy of Hitler from 1939 to 1949. Sudden attacks and use of armory were good tactics that eliminated most of Europe.

From May 1945 to 1949 Hitler had no strategy. Although I have heard he is open to suggestions.

There are tons of books on the subject, however you can find videos as well, one excellent series is called "Battlefield" they show it often on the Military Chanel, But I believe you can find the DVDs as well.

as for the years in your question, do you what were Hitlers goals for 1939-49? That question might be a little harder to answer. But find books and films about the early war and you may find the answers.

If you are honestly interested in it there are many books, a few I would recommend are the series of "What if?" books, it explains the stratagies and ideas of great leaders and what possibly would have happened if they decided to do something else. "50 battles that changed the world" has about 8 battles explaining Hitler's every move.
