I was a carpentry and masonry spc(21w or 51b) while i was in the army.I really enjoy doing it i did it for four years.Now that i am out the army what steps do i need to take to do it on the outside.I went to ait and i am certified for the army.

My son has just been notified by his recruiter that his eyesight is below the standards for the Combat Controller career field. Should he press and ask for an eyesight waiver if the career field is critically manned?

I've seen a lot of foolish people shout down a question on this 'YAHOO ANSWERS' web site just because there were a couple of spelling errors!!!

some have actually said... bad spellers were not even human and that they were stupid and ignorant.

That's like the pot calling the kettle black. ( I don't mean to infer that the pot is a bigot)

Anyways, I'm appalled at that kind of true ignorance.

That way people can ban gay marriage as well as intrerracial marriage and interfaith marriage? Afterall, marriage is protected by the federal government to prevent the majority from squashing the rights of the minorities...so why not just send all of it back to the states?

Did you know Russians hate, resent, and fear Americans and American power more than anyone else? Did you know they are the most realistic threat to the world and to American interests? Did you know that they strive to hinder us at every point and aid our enemies to resist us? Did you know that they even cooperated with their long-time enemies the chinese in military exercises with the sole reason of showin us (Americans) that they can and will join together to fight/resist us? My question is are you as an American worried about this? AND do you think our politicians don't pay enough attention to this problem?

i went to jail for no reason. i had a warrent a while ago and i went to court for it. the court cancelled the warrent since i went to court and the sheriffs department didnt so i got pulled over and went to jail. my dad came and bailed me out. dont you think i should get my money back? how can i do this when they are saying no?

Call me ignorant but I don't see how Alex Jones can like his country. I heard him today condemn the capital building in Washington D.C. and he even condemned Abraham Lincoln because he arrested thousands of Union Confederate sympathizers during the American Civil War. My theory is that Alex Jones doesn't really like the United States at all (in other words his lying) and his only saying he does so that he can gain credibility from Americans. If Alex Jones stated that he hated America he would probably be locked up as a suspected terrorist so there's no way he can possibly say that he doesn't like the United States. What does everyone think of my theory? Is it credible?

Capitalist theory supports the concepts of success, competition and most of all the profit margin.
Let's examine a couple of the claims against WalMart who excel in all areas of a capitalist system..
1) WalMart kills small businesses. Is this really WalMart's fault, or are these businesses just unable to compete and thus doomed to fall victim to any superior marketing strategy?
2) WalMart uses foreign labor for manufacturing. People demand low priced goods. WalMart provides these low prices. Should WalMart be forced to use American manufacturing and then rather than pass along the price to the consumer instead be forced to take less in profit?
3) WalMart makes too much money. Why is it such a crime to be successful? and Who gets to determine how much is enough?

These are just common examples, but feel free to add to the list if you wish. For those against WalMart and other entities please explain how your views can be seen as anything other than socialistic?

Ok, so my neighbors are both Atheist and extreamly left wing on all political matters. Yesturday, I see them put up a huge Christmas tree and decorate their house with lights and such.
