Did you know Russians hate, resent, and fear Americans and American power more than anyone else? Did you know they are the most realistic threat to the world and to American interests? Did you know that they strive to hinder us at every point and aid our enemies to resist us? Did you know that they even cooperated with their long-time enemies the chinese in military exercises with the sole reason of showin us (Americans) that they can and will join together to fight/resist us? My question is are you as an American worried about this? AND do you think our politicians don't pay enough attention to this problem?

This question is for Americans only not Russians and not their sympathizers.

Just to give some examples of what I mean:
1. Russia and Chinese partnership against "foreign" ie American aggression.
2. Russia Belarus unification initiative.
3. Russia ramping up military spending by $2.7 billion this year
4. Russia upgrading mobile ICBMs
5. Russia aiding South Ossetian independence
6. Russia killing Litvinenko
7. Russia building nuclear plant in bushehr and selling nuclear fuel to Iran
8. Russia controlling oil and gas flowing to Europe
9. Russia attempting to control Caspian and Azeri oil being piped through Georgia
Do you want me to keep going?

Ok I'll keep going:
10. The Russians gave Saddam Hussein defensive weapons to resist us.
11. They poisoned the president of Ukraine to prevent the orange revolution
12. They sell advanced weapons to our enemies that are then used to kill Americans: examples.. Iraq, Serbia, North Korea, China American soldiers are being killed with Kalashnikovs
13. If and when nuclear weapons or materials are used against americans or their interests they will have originated from Russia (big surprise) as we will find that the polonium used on litvinenko was from russia (easily found through rate of decay if the russians allow an investigation)

I forgot to add this little tidbid:
1. Russia retains Kaliningrad and has it armed to the teeth with tactical nuclear weapons and heavy conventional forces.
2. During the war in the Balkans, the Russians stationed at least two divisions in Belarus and tactical nuclear weapons and went to a heightened state of readiness. A Bealrussian friend of mine said that the news and media were constantly telling the people that an attack by NATO was imminent.
3. In his acceptance speach upon becoming president of Russia Putin announced that his country would respond to threats of national security with nuclear force.

Final Detail:
There doesn't have to be a smoking gun or an imminent threat to know that something bad is going to happen. Churchill, Roosevelt, and Truman all knew Stalin was trouble. Patton knew it and was not allowed to take action. Gen. MacArthur knew in Korea that the Chinese would be a problem and was prevented from taking action. When political opportunism and shortsightedness take precedence over the true long-term interest of the country and of the world we have places like Red China, the Soviet Union, and fears of annihilation (MAD Mutually Assured Destruction). If we had stopped the Soviets then and we stopped the Koreans and the Chinese we wouldn't be in this mess that we are in right now. My point is don't be shortsighted. Just because everything is cozy now doesn't mean it will always be like that.

SEEMS LIKE THE GUARDS HAVE BEEN DROPPED JUST BECAUSE THE RUSSIANS ARE NO LONGER COMMUNIST. THE MIND SET STILL REMAINS THEY DO HATE AMERICA AND AMERICANS AND THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO BEAT US AT OUR GAME. IT'S TIME TO CHANGE THE RULES OF THE GAME AND WE AS AMERICAN HAVE TO REINVENT OURSELVES OR WE WILL FALL LIKE THE SOVIET UNION. THE EUROPEANS HAVE CREATED THE EU JUST TO COMPETE WITH AMERICA THE RUSSIANS AND THE CHINESE HAVE AIDED EACH OTHER JUST TO COMPETE WITH AMERICA. AS A RESULT WE ARE STARTING TO FALTER IN THE WORLD MARKET DUE TO THE INFLUX OF NEW CURRENCIES AND TECHNOLOGIES THAT WE USE TO COMMAND.
IT'S TIME TO TAKE OUR SHARE OF THE WORLD MARKET BACK AND BRING AMERICA BACK TO THE FORE FRONT OF THE WORLD. WE USE TO BE THE LEADERS NOW WE ARE JUST FOLLOWING. AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS IT HAS TO DO WITH THE MIND SET OF AMERICANS. WE HAVE BECOME TOO LAZY. WE ARE NOT HUNGRY ENOUGH TO CONQUER THE WORLD MARKETS. WE USED TO BE THE LEADERS NOW WE JUST FOLLOW. IT'S TIME TO SET THE TRENDS BOTH FINANCIALLY AND POLITICALLY. WE NEED TO BECOME THE LEADERS AGAIN OR WE WILL SOME DAY SUCCUMB TO THE REST OF THE WORLD. IT SEEMS LIKE THE WORLD IS MOVING TOWARD REGIONAL POWERS INSTEAD OF INDIVIDUAL POWER. MAYBE IT'S TIME TO INCORPORATE THE REST OF OUR CONTINENT IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS. WE MIGHT EVEN WANT TO CREATE AN ALLIANCE WITH OUR SOUTHERN COUNTRIES.WE COULD CALL IT THE NORTH AMERICAN UNION. THEY HAVE THE MAN POWER AND WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY TO LIFT SOME OF THESE COUNTRIES OUT OF POVERTY. WHO KNOWS IT MIGHT EVEN SOLVE THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM. IF THEY HAVE THE WORK TO SUSTAIN THEM IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY IT WOULD KEEP THEM FROM COMING HERE TO LOOK FOR WORK. JUST A THOUGH BUT IT IS TIME TO MAKE SOME CHANGES.

How shall I put it... even if your synopsis of the history of Russian culture was entirely accurate (and not inducing multiple facepalms per your usual standard), I don't see how that would affect anything and I'd still damn well "dare" say "Russia for Russians". (Meaning "No More 'Russians for Russia'", rather than "Non-Russians Get Out". Being a Russian nationalist nowadays primarily means asserting your worth as something other than "the cement of a great state"; in other words, refusing to be someone of whom self-denial for some or other noble cause is routinely expected.) The thing about culture (you're too dumb to understand this, I'm speaking for the sake of passers-by) is that it's a) not inalienable and b) not the irreplaceable part of nationhood. Suppose a horde of barbarians came and said to your people: "we're going to kill every one of you, but we promise not to let your culture perish: we'll start speaking your language, dressing like you, building houses in your style, etc. Now even if you somehow knew they were perfectly honest, and if a perfect imitation was somehow achievable, would you agree? I don't think so. That was Konstantin Krylov's argument that won me over to civic nationalism a few years ago. And on a less serious note, perhaps we've had a troubled history precisely because all those people jumped in and didn't let us make our own stuff?

Yes I am fully aware and it worries me so. This Iraq war and what government ends up their will determine each country's strategic stance in the invertible second Cold War which will be within the next 20 years.
So much rides on the success of Iraq. Our ability to win a Cold war between China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, and Pakistan will be a tough one damaging our economy profoundly. Our allies will be western Europe, India and Japan.Things will be far more tense thae the first.
If the extremists regime of Iran goes full blown with their nuclear proliferation aided by the Russians and eventually the Chinese we will be in dire straights.
If Iraq emerges as a true democracy our enemies chances of winning such a Cold War wouldn't be feasible. They're extremist regimes such as Iran and Pakistan will be too unstable for the Russians and the Chinese to endorse helping them with a progressive nuclear weapons program.
This is a particular reason as to why the Chinese haven't shut down the North Korean nuclear program.
Whomever wins the next cold war will be the economic giant for the next century.
God help us to unite before the inevitable and inconceivable happens.
FIGHT TO UNITE!!!!

Russia is not as much of a threat to the world any longer. They have too many internal problems these days.
EDIT
Only point #1 on your list even vaguely looks to be Anti-American, and there's no proof that was the point of the exercise, just speculation.
I worry more about what we're going to do if China goes against us in North Korea at some point. We're going to have to stop buying cheap stuff from them and bring the manufacturing back over here.
Russia had its hands full in Chechnya and they finally caught a break when the leader of that Islamic group blew up in the truck.
As for the poisoning, yeah, that's scary, but far from being anti-American. As for selling technology to Iran, well, that's pretty dumb on their part, but we can still handle Iran.

The Russians just realized what good market-economy can do for them. So they are using that to their gain. That is what capitalism is all about. They sell weapons and technologies to countries which are friendly to them. They would like to assert global influence. Later on, we'll see Russia initiating coups and invading countries.
But all these is exactly what the U.S. is doing as well. Don't say that the U.S. can do one thing but call it improper when Russia does the same thing. As one respondent above had said: "they are just trying to beat us at our game". Never been said better...

I never really trusted Russians to the full extent. I have been in the military and joined toward the end of th Cold War. I have been in Multi-National Forces with Russians and worked with them. With that said I have fought against enemies in Desert Storm, Bosnia, and Iraq that used Soviet made weapons. Due to that fact I feel the way the Russians would attack us is to use other combative nations or forces against us and play Devil's Advocate at the same time smiling at us and shaking our hands. Oh, keep in mind that the higher the rank in the Russian military the bigger the hat.

That is a real threat. Maybe that is the reason we are at war in the middle east. To have a battle ready military for the upcoming war of all wars.

You know what I hate. I hate it when people make accusations about an entire nationality without providing any sources to back up those accusations.
No I am not worried about Russia. The biggest threat to the US is the current administration.

The Russians are more like us then any other peoples in the world ( England included). They should be our greatest allies. The money we give away to all the other countries that truly hate us should be sent to them to help build their country.
