KARACHI (Reuters) - Religious organizations in Pakistan are using the Internet to help Muslims in Western countries buy and sacrifice animals for an annual festival.
We all know the internet is being used for all sorts of evils, porn, gambling.. now ritual murders of animals. nice. Apparently this is a convenient service for uncivilized people living in the civilized world to kill animals which would otherwise be illegal. I think these people should still be charged for cruelty to animals. What's next? We can pay and order some human beings kills in some undeveloped country? So sad and disgusting

Everyone says that the taxes are higher in countries where there is universal health care and that there are fewer health choices.

If you were born the poorest of poor, you still have a right to at least basic healthcare. I don't know how you grow up and get a good job to support yourself if you die in infancy.

By the way, in case you assume, I do have a full time job, thanks.

Generally speaking, citizens of most countries are law-abiding people who want to live in peace. Since governments, not common people, tend to have disagreements with one another, why don't they fight their own battles and leave us out of it. While one could argue that members of the military are part of the government, and hence the govenment is fighting its battles, aren't they really just pawns for the decision makers?

Obviously there's no correct answer to this, I just wanted to see some opinions.

Do you believe it's upon ejaculation? Is it upon conception? Is it upon a certain week of pregnancy? Is it when the baby comes out?

What makes it life at the point you believe it becomes one? Is it the possession of a soul, a heartbeat, a brain, or what?

It is not a violation of the controlled substance act of whenever to be 'high' or under the influence of a controlled substance. It is only illegal to posses it under said act.

Is there any cleaning or maintenance involved in having a silencer? Does the state of Wisconsin require a gun owner to own a safe in order to keep a handgun suited for a silencer and the silencer itself?

Does anyone else see this as a quantized arguement? If you recognize God in the public square you affirm God. If you do not recognize Him, you promote humanism.

One side or the other WILL be offended... so why not the minority?

PBS had a great special on the insurgency. Some british or aussie reporter was allowed to follow the insurgents. Several times other Muslims wanted to kill him because he was a non-muslim (Kafir/infidel/dhimmi) but his guides insisted that their bargain be honored.

Behind the lines, the "insurgents", if you must call them that, were firing mortars while other Muslim villagers calmly walked by them. The insurgents payed them no attention. Not for a moment were they worried about being fingered. Essentially, the Iraqis are the insurgents and the insurgents are the Iraqis.

This is all Jeckyl and Hyde foolery. A Muslim shop keeper smiles at you by day, and shots at you by night. Idealogically, only a handful are educated enough to desire anything the west can offer. Its true, they didnt want Saddam, but this didnt mean they wanted anything from us.

Polls show quite clearly that they hate us. Not just Bush...but US. Go beyond small talk with any Muslim in America and its the same.

I just realized this, because now I go to a Catholic private school.

When I was in 5th grade, I was in Chorus at the Suburban public school I went to.

When at this private school that I now go to, I was told, in History class, that a public school could get sued for teaching religion.

In chorus, we had to sing this song that was partially in Latin. In English, this was one of the lines:

The snow lay on the ground
The stars shown bright
When Christ our Lord was born
On Christmas night

Wouldn't this be considered illegal for a public school having students in the Chorus singing religious songs? This was not a Christan Chorus. It was just a song Chorus to sing songs.

Odd question I know, but I read something that said:

Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there.

Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee.

Please, names and affiliations only. I already have heard the conspiracy story. Now I would like the names of the people involved, and what groups or organizations they were/are affiliated with. If you say gold was stolen, then give me the total amount, who it was stolen from. If you say explosives were used, then who supplied them, who installed them, who detonated them. If you say non commercial airliners were used, then tell who owned them, who flew them. I really want to know. Please help convince me that my government killed three thousand of its citizens, and why did they do it.
