Al Quaeda would still be running Afghanistan. The Iraqi people would still be starving. France would still be making money from the 'oil-for-food' corruption.
We would be paying tribute to N. Korea and they would have still developed nuclear weapons.
Our response to the attack on 9/11 would have been a few cruise missiles fired at empty tents.
Al Quaeda would still be launching attacks inside the US.
Yemen would be an Al Quaeda puppet state.
Pakistan would be ruled by Islamic fundamentalists.
Syria would still own Lebanon.
Chine would have likely invaded and conquered Taiwan.
I suggest that you read Gore's policy opinions from when he was a senator and extended them to his being president.

If Gore had been elected President, he might have read and taken seriously the warnings about Bid Laden wanting to attack inside the U.S. But let's say 9-11 happened anyway. I think he would have cast it in an international light, as an attack on the West, as an attack on civilization rather than an attack on the U.S. only. He would have emphasized how many people from how many different countries and representing a variety of faiths had been indiscriminately killed. In other words, he would have maximized the incredible pro-U.S. support that emerged immediately after the attack. (Hard to remember how many friends we had in those days.)
Then he would have focused single-mindedly on the war in Afghanistan--destroying, not just chasing away, the Taliban. He would have let U.S. troops finish the job of finding and killing Bin Laden instead of turning the job over to locals. And he would NOT have gotten distracted by a country that had nothing to do with 9-11: Iraq. There would be tens of thousands fewer wounded and about 3,000 fewer dead Americans as a result of a pointless and endless war which is depleting our military strength and our economy.

(1) There would be a budget defecit, but it would not be so much--just a fraction of what it is under Bush.
(2) We would be vigorously pursuing terrorists, but there would definitely be no war in Iraq.
(3) We would have signed the Kyoto Accords, and there would be pressure to slow climate change.
(4) There may have been another terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
(5) Taxes would be higher.
(6) The Supreme Court would be (a little) more liberal. A Roberts-like candidate would have been nominated in a compromise with the GOP-controlled Senate for a more liberal candidate to replace O'Connor (who may not have retired under a democratic president) and/or Stevens (who probably would have retired under a democratic president)
(7) We'd have much more respect in the international community.

shall we see if i can get it: -Al Gore, as a replace of been paying US$a million,3 hundred.00 a month for power, could have "us" paying his power for being a "former President". additionally he could be driving a airplane "paid by ability people" extra suitable than the only he makes use of maximum surprising now. And, his SUV could be paid by ability people besides. -John Kerry, the comparable tale as Al Gore, yet, as a replace of having a real American woman as our First woman, we could have a South-African first woman. ....in basic terms saying!!

There would not have been a 9-11 & we would not now be in this god-awful war, there would be diplomatic talks with N Korea & the rest of the world wouldn't be against us.

We would be closer to cleaning up the planet to stop global warming. Maybe a few more Katrina victims would be alive today. It's also possible that we would have less soldiers in Iraq and the list of casualties would be smaller. Just to name a few things.

Delay wouldn't have been indicted, Abramoff wouldn't be in prison, Cunningham wouldn't be in prison, Reed would be LT. Gov. of Georgia, Ney wouldn't be heading to prison, Bush wouldn't have lied about Iraq, Foley would have been 'exposed' a couple years ago, and there'd be 3000 soldiers not dead.

Probably the biggest difference would be that 3000 of our young people who have been slaughtered so far in this criminal war of George's would still be with their families.

Nobody really knows. It's all just conjecture.
It's much easier to criticize the president than to be the president.
