KARACHI (Reuters) - Religious organizations in Pakistan are using the Internet to help Muslims in Western countries buy and sacrifice animals for an annual festival.
We all know the internet is being used for all sorts of evils, porn, gambling.. now ritual murders of animals. nice. Apparently this is a convenient service for uncivilized people living in the civilized world to kill animals which would otherwise be illegal. I think these people should still be charged for cruelty to animals. What's next? We can pay and order some human beings kills in some undeveloped country? So sad and disgusting

Americans are the biggest hypocrisy when it comes to killing animals. It seems odd that the country that consumes the most beef in the world seems fit to tell other "uncivilized nations" what they should do with animals.

We kill cows and chicken, but they are uncivilized because they kill dogs. We kill ducks and deer, but they are uncivilized because they kill cats.

We kill millions of animals every single day. Some for food, some for clothing, some for sport, some for fun, some just because we don't like them. But God forbid someone somewhere wants to kill an animal because it is part of their religion, we call THAT "uncivilized."

In most religions (particularly Muslims) when they do kill animals it is done in a way that is the least painful way and most respectful way possible, they honor the animal as part of their culture. In America we kill in the most painful way imaginable, with no respect what so ever for the things we kill, as if it is our god given right to kill this creature. But we call others "uncivilized."

They are savages because they kill a cat, but we are noble because we kill millions and millions of cows, and chickens and ducks and foxes and mice and rats and bugs and fish.

My personal favorite American hypocrisy: "Dolphin safe tuna" A few years back when they made those new nets to save all the dolphins from tuna fisher men. WHAT ABOUT THE TUNA?!!!! Thousands of tuna killed at a time and no one cares but we saved a few dolphin, well aren't we great.

Americans "choose" which animals are noble enough to be protected, and we "choose" which animals are free to be brutlizied, and the way we choose is completely arbitury; and I have no problem with that. But just because we feel that these animals are speical does not mean the rest of the world feels this way and it prentenious to look down on them because of it.

So the next time you bite into a hambuger, or buy a leather coat remember the cow who gave her life for you food and your fashion a) probably died a far more painful death than if they were sacrificed for a religious cause and b) there are parts of the world were killing a COW is seen as uncivilized.

I agree that it's sickening. I'm a vegetarian and a Peta member so I hate hearing things like this. Although I know it's not just what you considered to be "uncivilized" nations that harm and exploit animals. North America is just as guilty when it comes to animal cruelty but for some reason we choose to look the other way. I have absolutely nothing against meat eaters. What bothers me the most are people who wear fur to make a fashion statement. I hate animal sacrifices but there are religions that strongly believe in it and who am I to judge when it comes to a belief of another person. But to wear a dead animal in hopes of looking fashionable sickens me.

Dude do u have a ideas? actual no longer, sicko! human beings around the worldwide consume meat.. whats that homicide? awaken, muslims dont kill endangered species or something.. its in easy terms a spiritual ceremony wherein a cow, lamb, camel, goat is slaughtered the two on the slaughter-abode or on the abode (in accordance to government regulations) each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. this is the comparable element that occurs 24x7x365 the worldwide over.. For the Muslims, this slaughter turns to a sacrifice whilst they repeat the act of Abraham whilst he grow to be approximately to sacrifice his son for God and God placed a lamb as against Abraham's son which he sacrificed to seek for God's goodwill... that's in easy terms a repetition of that sacrifice, celebrated on the tenth Zil-Haj (in accordance to Lunar Calendar). Now with the increasing costs of those animals (cows, buffaloes, goat, sheep, camels) via extend in extremely some commodities that quickly or in a roundabout way result those expenses, extremely some agencies have now taken the duty to furnish those sacrificial animals at decreased costs, in actuality i think of that's certainly a welcome theory to sell approximately them on line so as that further and extra everybody is waiting to accomplish this religious accountability with a important ease. And PLEASE merely dont placed up cr@p approximately something that u are no longer attentive to.. those stupid stuff approximately 'murdering animals' is insane.. see a psychological scientific expert..

Is the problem that the internet is used of that they are killing animals? Even without the internet they would kill animals. I think it is horrible, but it isn't my religion either. The internet just makes it more known.

If you know of these sites maybe you should report them to PETA, maybe they can see if those buying animals for sacrifice in western countries can be prosecuted. Or they can make a lot of noise in protest to bring it to the publics attention.
