He shouldn't run at all because he has little experience and no understanding of how to work with Congress. Jimmy Carter was similar and his administration was a disaster.

First off, you don't run for vice president. The presidential nominee chooses their running mate. I doubt that Hillary would choose Obama as a running mate since they're both from the North. If Hillary wins the nomination, her best bet would be to choose a Southern Democrat as VP, potentially Edwards (though I think he's a better candidate than Hillary) or Richardson from NM.
If Obama does get the nod, my early gut would be that he would do a similar thing and take a Southern Dem with him on the ticket. However, I'm not sure I want him to run. Not because I don't like him (I'm a big Barrack fan) but because he's still very young, he's only served 2 years in the Senate (and the last Senator to win the Pres. was Kennedy), and he already promised that he would serve his full term. I don't think that going back on his word would be a good thing for him.
My hope would be for Barrack to go after the Governor's office in Illinois first, or at least step out of the Senate after one term the way Edwards did. If Edwards gets the nod, then I would also think he would consider Barrack as a running mate. I would be in favor of that also. No matter what happens in '08, though, I honestly believe Obama will be the first black President.

He better start sucking up to Hillary or they will knock him out of contention. The Clinton spin group will plant all types of negative stories. He is too inexperienced to try for the top spot although I do like him. Now that Edwards is trying to find a place there may be hope for him but Hillary has loads of skeletons to drag out on other party leaders to get the nomination. Lets hope something persuades her not to run.

Don't really care. The guy is a nothing who gave one good speech. Why anyone would be stronly supporting him for president is beyond me.
If he runs, he will likely lose. I don't think he is going to run though.
Hard to say who he'd run with as his views are not known since he only speaks in generalities and doesn't take strong positions on anything controversial. Wesley Clark would be a good running mate. He also lacks substance so would work well with Obama.

I really like General Wesley Clark. Why doesn't he get respect when the Democrats lose elections because the Chickenhawk Party has brainwashed people that the Democrats are anti-military? Are the Dems being bought to throw still another election?

I think it would be wiser for him to run for the Presidential seat, not the VP seat. Here's a point to ponder: if he ran for the VP seat, his running mate's (Presidential candidate) life would instantly be at risk should that person become President. Think about it...

Barack Obama can go solo, he is qualified is he not?Why should he go for vice- first? And to Hillary she is an intelligent woman who can stand on her own , she loves what she does and is more honest than the men in same situation, so there. I like Baracks name , it sounds magical, and he is of both black and white race, so he comes in this century like water for chocolate! Hugs.

I think he should go for vp as well. If he runs for president he'll be creamed for his lack of experience.
