I need to know.

I just received a bill for unpaid parking tickets and their late fees from tickets I never received! (honestly, I've never driven into NYC!) I'm curious as to what my rights are and how to fight it since I'm not paying ~$650 in fines! My ex must have received them when he borrowed my car (which was ~2 1/2 years ago!) and never paid them since he figured they wouldn't catch up with him. Unfortunately they must have tracked the car through its registration and have sent the bill to me. He and I broke up two years ago and haven't been in touch since - I have no idea where he is and even if I found him I know he wouldn't take care of this mess. Please HELP!! what are my rights since I am truly innocent? Thanks for any and all information.

Does anyone else think that the war on terror and the war in Iraq has destabilized the world and made it a more dangerous place? IMHO Iraq is a breeding ground for extremists. What do you think?

I was reading on a couple websites that it's legal in some U.S. states for someone under 21 to drink at their private residence or if under 18 in the company of their parents or legal age family members. It is also legal in certain other events. Does anyone know if these exceptions apply to Pennsylvania?

After Pearl Harbor a Japanese General made this comment, "We have awakened a sleeping giant". After 9/11 the average citizen was mad for a while and then went back to the normal routine. Don't you think the terrorist are just as determined to destroy us as the axis were back then? Sure, I know this is a different kind of war. The enemy doesn't wear an identifiable uniform, and there are no front lines, but our very existance is threatened just the same. Do you think it will take another 9/11 to re-awaken the "sleeping giant", or has the giant turned into a p---y cat?

I dated this guy for 4 years and we broke up in May. I let him borrow an extra car of mine as long as he makes payments. But yesterday he got a DUI in New Jersey. He lives in Maryland and I live in Oklahoma. I told him I want my car back but he is avoiding all my calls, emails, text messages. I don't know what to do!
I know letting him borrow the car was so stupid! He may end up going to jail for 90 days. I just need to know how to get the car back without having it repossed and ruining my credit. Can I report the car stolen, even if I know who has it?

The president answered:

"The reason I keep insisting that there was a relationship between Iraq and Saddam and al Qaeda, because there was a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda.

Do you think it should be made illegal in the US/Canada? I do. Murder is a crime. If a women was raped I understand not wanting the child but it doesn't give her any right to kill it. She should have the baby and give it to foster care not commit murder. If she wasn't raped and had unprotected sex , the women shouldn't have an abortion she should give up the child if she didn't want it. All women have to do is take your baby to a police station fire department and give it them. Don't throw it in a microwave , don't have an abortion don't throw it in a trash cane.

Opinions? Not insults , thanks.

As a thought experiment, I wonder how the message behind 'brave new world' would change if instead--the follwing happened: a liberal nazi comes to rule the USA--where it depicts a gay nazi ruler of the 'world institution'

The world institution, is a reformed world order after the 'collapse' which woule have happened in 2018, after a skirmish with China over resources and global economic downturn after a nuclear detonation in Washington with no culprit in sight. In the downturn, there is a shortage of water in the midwest and California due to global warming, causes a cesation from the union, followed by Texas. Thus causing America to become the 'shattered Union.' The one who obtains power in America in the east, is a liberal professor who takes over the goverment and is an extremist, and tries to 'pacify' and 'sterilize' any threat to the already 'shattered union.'

The professor makes it mandatory for tolerance and complete conformity to the norm to become punishable by

Wouldn't cutting that money out of taxes for the poor do much better? Then it encourages more productivity, less laziness, and it would allow the poor that work more of an income?

I will say that those with disabilities do need assistance, however.
