As far as I'm concerned anyone who isn't a Native American Indian is an immigrant. Illegal Immigrants are from all over the globe, not just Mexico, and they are the ones who broke the law to get to and work in the USA. I think it is so sad that the governments in their countries are so corrupt that they leave their people with little recourse if they want to lead better lives.

actually, at the height of the last ice age, the "native americans" crossed over the alaskan land bridge, and were themselves immigrants from asia.
we say many mexicans are "illegal" because they broke laws of a soveriegn nation in getting here, and parasite off of social systems put in place to help citizens and people who are here legally. 1/3 of federal prison bunks, have an illegal alien in it. so obviously they keep committing crimes, after they initially commit the crime of illegally entering this country.
the native americans broke no such laws, because none were in place. the europeans broke no laws, because the native americans hadnt even evolved the concept of private ownership of property (or the wheel for that matter), the europeans claimed land, and natives got blankets, booze and small pox. as a form of reparations, land was re-apportioned for the native americans, were they have autonomy and authority, and make millions from casinos. (which ironically many use a roullette "wheel", another foriegn invention)

The land USED to belong to natives/aztecs. It doesn't anymore so europeans are not immigrants.

Its not just mexicans, Its chinese, russian, south american, anyone that can get here, even through a work visa and then it expires and they are not supposed to be in the country are illegals. when you come into the states illegally or stay after you should be out you are breaking the law. Even if its to feed your kids. Lets stick with present time and current country boundaries not what someone use to own as a country.

Lots of mexican are here legally. the europeans - most of them came here and processed thru ellis island. Some probably did come illegally.
