A couple of rules
-The questions aren't known in advance
-The issues cannot contain illogical political points such as the minimum wage and flag burning
-An actual answer has to be given, not simply pointing out what the other person lacks

OK. Please just be honest and quote the proper facts - even if you are pro-Israeli.
I myself am pro-Israeli. But it is a well known fact that Israel kills more civilians.

I just want the stats. Thanks.

The two nukes we ended the war with stopped them from gaining the three months they needed to create a second bomb after their successful test at Hungnam, North Korea on Aug. 12. It halted our Operation Coronet, which would have been the invasion of the southern most island of Japan by 1946. If our bomb was a dud we were going to gas the population to save American troops' lives. Life mag. and Popular Mechanics both ran articles preparing the US for the use of this weapon. The Japanese it used in China to kill hundreds of thousands. Other option was to starve them out then invade. All this would have cost millions of lives on both sides. But these people were saved by Hiroshima. When retaliation murders of POW's began Nagasaki and the surrender saved their lives directly. I personally know someone saved in this manner. As an unfed human skeleton, he was being worked to death in a condemned coal mine. He was going to be shot after Hiroshima but Nagasaki forced the surrender. Brave man

In the past, soldiers were subjected to strenuous physical and emotional demands. It was thought this type of indoctrination would create a more self-disciplined, well-rounded soldier.

In today's basic training, there are several ways for the recruit seize the offensive against their own Drill Sergeants. Drill Sergeants are frowned upon for yeling at soldiers or creating physical and emotional demands upon the recruit.

The basic perception of most senior NCOs is that this has contributed to a lack of discipline and lack of teamwork in the Army today. It is less about the team and more about "me."

However, some say that the Army is changing for the better and this allows more lattitude in the education of the recruits.

How do you think this change will affect mission accomplishment in today's Army and the world environment in which it operates?
