But what would you care what they did to your body after you died? It's not like you'll feel anything.
You are under a false impression if you think that funeral homes, embalmers, etc. leave your body intact for burial. Just the outside appearances. Unless your religious convictions say otherwise.
Being autopsied doesn't leave you any worse off than after an embalmer.
But as for your rights, you do have some unless, as said above the public interest is at stake.

Depends. If you die a sudden and unexpected death with no medical history, it is state law that will dictate whether you are autopsied, not you wishes! Under any other scenario you have an absolute right not to be autopsied, and most aren't!

If there is a question of foul play about your death you will be autopsied whether you want it or not.

If you are executed you are autopsied.

If there is a medical error you are autopsied if they can't cover it up quick enough.

If this is based on your religious convictions, then you should be able to make it work.

You will need to put it in writing, and carry it with you at all times. You also need to be sure that your husband knows about your request, and keeps a copy of your document with him, and vice versa. You might also want to check with a lawyer to confirm which documents need to be created...I know it's not a living will, nor is it a DNR order, but something similar.

It might get tricky if there is any question about why you died, but even in death, you have the constitutional right to freedom of religion.

The state can't compel an autopsy unless it's part of a criminal investigation, for example a homicide.

You can put it in your will I think and they will respect your wishes if they know your cause of death.. but if they don't know it, or foul play is expected.. they will do it whether or not you wanted it done... so I don't think you have many rights about that..
