venezuela will decide that they are the rightful rulers (and only capable rulers) of the south american continent. as such they will invade country after coutry starting with Guyana and the other's quickl;y fall until only southern Argentina, uruguay, chile, and the dense forrest of brazil are left. simulatneously the VNC (Venezuelan norte Commande) well roll over panama and their northern neihbors getting stuck in Mexico City (which will become a historical 18 month battle akin to the battle of Stalingrad)

meanwhile, the U.S., not blind to what is happening, at the time of venezuela's invasion of Guyana lands a amphibious orce made up of the 24 MEU and elemants of the Airborne Fourth Brigade Combat Team (508th PIR) land in Linden and Intuni, Guyana. it seems as if the U.S. will quickly remove the venezuelan forces, until Iran, spurred by a message from president Chavez to President Ahmadinejad, attacks israel to take focus off of the S. american crisis. U.S. responds by firing tomahawk missles into iran egpyt, syria, yemen, sudan, and lebanon all invade israel and are repelled in what becomes known as the 96 hour war, us forces not tied down in iraq or afghanistan invade sudan and egypt (currently under the control of a new regime with ties to the islamic brotherhood who siezed power 5 days earlier), and route their respective militaries.

still with the us engaged in numerous conflicts the chinese see an opportunity and invade taiwan, finally taking back what they believed was always theirs. Russia also takes advantage of the situation by invading ukraine and georgia. new zeland tired of being now as the sheep capital of the workd and lord of the rings (are you still reading this? can you believe i've typed this long?) invades melborne from port phillip hoping the audacious move from lead to a quick victory over the whole of australia, and forever establishing the legacy of the great new zealand empire.
africa also erupts at this time in what seems to outsiders as a random popcorn explosion of civil war and genocide ordered on an almost unimaginable scale.
canada not wanting to be left out of the picture (as is usually the case) invades the queen elizabeth islands, only to later discover no one lives there, it's a frozen waste land, and oh yeah it belongs to canada.

then the u.s. beats venezuela, africa calms down, the middle east goesback to the staus qoute, russia and china relax, and new zealand comes to terms with being ruled by the Australians.

and collectivley the world catches its breath and asks itself, "what the Fu*ck just happened?"

We aren't really at World War III yet, but it could easily go that direction. There are a few things that will determine whether we end up in World War III or in another Cold War (no fighting, just a lot of growling and hair pulling). 1. The outcome of Iraq. If they can pull their army together, and we can continue to decrease troop strength there, we might be able to relocate our forces to other parts of the globe before any fighting begins. 2. North Korea's response involving the UN and testing nuclear weapons 3. Japan's response to North Korea if they continue to test their nukes so close to the Japanese coast. 4. The involvement of both Russia and China in the conflict, and their reactions to the UN 5. The outcome of the next presidential election (which could be the catalyst to bring us into full scale warfare) 6. The U.S. economy I'm not sure that 9/11 will be the starting point. I think we're looking probably at North Korea's nuclear program as the catalyst. Our terms with Russia have always been on shaky ground, and the Chinese absolutely despise the West. Throw in 3 crazy world leaders, and you've got a problem. Iraq should have been the least of our worries.

The US trys to deport the illegals, as we should have done a long time ago. They revolt, Mexico declares war, and the UN issues sanctions on us. North Korea decides to take advantage of the situation, and nukes LA. In the resulting chaos, the illegals and Mexican troops slaughter millions of citizens. Out of all the Southwestern states, only Texas survives, where a few thousand cowboys hold out for a while.

President Bush finally says 'what the heck'; nukes Mexico into a glass Aztec tomb, dissolves the UN and founds another world alliance of American Allies, nukes N. Korea, abandons Iraq, and brings the troops home to crush the Mexicans not wiped out by nukes.

Unfortunately, this is all the excuse Russia, China, and Iran need to form their own world alliance, invade Taiwan, and get ready to slaughter Israel. In the ensuing world war, the US is almost completely destroyed, along with just about all of the other major world powers; and the Antichrist comes to power in Babylon. The tribulation and the end of the world follow shortly after.

I can see a Western vs. Eastern thing happening, probably with the U.S. and europe, with latin america in tow, teaming up against pretty much all of asia/africa minus India. India would want to fight the West, but they'd be too afraid of Chinese dominance, and would have too much to lose fighting the West. Eastern forces would be primarily Chinese/Russian while Western would be U.S/E.U. If nuclear weapons were used, East would lose pretty badly, but if it went conventional, i could see the war dragging on for a long time until China ran out of people, with the West still winning, albeit at a huge cost.

Its been kinda brewing already...Reagan tried to address this type of thing, we should have learned. Iran will pick a fight with Israel, the hezbollaugh will attempt to lay siege on the Israeli army supported by Iran, and Syria. NK may eventually decide to help them somehow.
Elements in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Turkey are just biding thier time right now.

The entire middle east stands to be a pit of horror sooner or later.

P.S.- The US of course will back Israel, but the hatred is deep, and we must learn that.

Israel/US versus Iran/Lebanon
Saudia Arabia and other Gulf states, will be trapped in the middle not knowing what to do. eventually they will join the Arab side.
UK will join US. European community will mediate.
Now if North Korea and Pakistan come along to the formula...
