Why is only one point of view ever represented by the media?

Some people say they are against it, but you will hardly ever see them having their say on TV.

every time i hear about the government trying to take away our rights, through domestic spying or warrantless searches, i really cannot help but to become very, very angry.

i know that the original framers of the constitution never intended for the government to snoop into the private life of any citizen who was not charged with a crime.

yet, very few average people seem to care that these freedoms, which, make no mistake, were earned through blood sacrifice, are being chipped away like a stone sculpture.
why are more people not enraged over this?

What is the best way, and only effective way, of "telling" the truth. Should it be told (advocated), sold (advertised and promoted) or simply practiced (acted upon)?

If you were given a choice of adopting only one means, which one will you take, and why?

The other car ran in the back of him and was at fault. He had witnesses too. How much is he looking at for compensation. He is expecting the other guys insurance company to phone him back later today with an offer but has no idea of a rough amount, so does not know what to accept or decline.
He runs his own small business which involves manual labour and has taken a few days off due to neck pain. He is also a carer to his dad but time off is not an option as his dad is very poorly, but is a less manual job anyway. He is not greedy and does not want them apying over the odds, just what he is due.

ps, I am asking as my partner has had a really rough year, it would be nice for him if he was able to get some sort of a windfall!
I am not a gold digger!!!

After 9/11 my son was determined to be in the aviation industry. He is now a senior at Embry-Riddle. The Air Force and all companies involved in aerospace is denying him employment because he is not a citizen, only a permanent resident. He is Catholic and comes from the Caribbean. Run a security check for him. I spent my life savings putting him through university and now this. I wrote to the Air Force recruiting engineers now and the reply is that they have stopped recruiting permanent residents. Please stop treating everyone as if they are terrorists. Born and bred US citizens in the most sensitive positions have turned out to be turncoats. Why treat our children as if they are guilty before they are even given a chance. I would like to speak to someone in power who has made such an unwise decision.

Upset Mom.

AP reported that truckloads of cash from SA are being sent over to the insurgency.
If the US were to follow Bush's vision that "we will go after those that commit terror, and those that harbor it ", then does that mean we really have more enemies then we originally thought at this point?
Why would SA bother, what is their interest to help one side, and NOT help everybody...being they are supposedly so noble?
Should we sock them in the eye, or just turn our cheeks to this?
If we turn our cheeks...this GREATLY reduces Bush's already bad image. And our's.

And will it work out the whole middle east will war over oil-rich Iraq soon?

when i was fifteen i started up glamour moddelling with and unregistered man who was a photographer he had had many girls he helped get in to a career in moddeling he convinced my mother that i was perfect and me as well it started off just basic glamour shots but as time went by he offered more money for more action me bieng the child i was did not think of the consequences only the money involved and in time ended up doing totally naked shots for men i has never met, lately it has really been bugging me im worried that if i do get in to a career in moddeling these will come out i feel very betrayed and discusted that a grown man would stoop so low i have been wondering if i should contact the police and get him charged, for this but i am scared of the publicity it may cause while i was working with him he talked of other girls who were underage working for him and i know that he would still have the photos of me i am nearly 18 and worried that he will get away with the what do i do!

I believe Tony Blair and his mate George W Bush to be committed Christains. On that understanding, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY would either of them even think, let alone consider, with-drawing ANY of our Armed Service personnel from Iraq or Afghanistan BEFORE they have completed thier mission? WHY? Why send our troops, and greatest asset to Iraq and Afghanistan with a specific aim and job to do, then pull the plug on them before they can complete the job? HAVE NO LESSONS BEEN LEARNT FROM THE FIRST GULF WAR in 1991 when the plug was pulled JUST before the job had been completed? WHY do politicians have to interfere just because they get some bad media publicity? Surely the mark of a good leader is - make THE decision then delegate to the person who knows how to get the job done, and stay out of the way until the expert returns with the words "job completed"...? Pulling troops out a SECOND time makes a mockery of those lost young lives given freely - for OUR peace!!

For shame on you both !

I've noticed that there seems to be real hatred for Bush, by the Americans. As in, if he was walking alone he would literally get lynched by a mob. He would actually be hanged, drawn and quartered.

But ...

Although Blair is hated by 99% of the British public, I don't feel any 'kill him' vibes like there is for Bush. If Tony Blair walked down my local high street he would be more likely to get eggs thrown at him, than to be assasinated.

Can anyone explain these different mentalies to me please? Or have I got it all wrong?

one recommendations that caught my eye was " to let iraqi's handle and control thier oil" so does this mean iraq's oil is still controlled by the u.s? is this the reason why there is 70 % unemployment in iraq and most iraq's are more poorer then when under saddam hussian. i know that iraq produces $190 million barrels of oil a day, why is this money not being used to help iraqi's rebuild thier lives?

I am interested in knowing if Dumpster Diving is legal in Custer SD. I have found nice expensive clothes by the bag full, shoes, toys, and other nice expensive things in our dumpster at the apartments. If I cannot use it, then I give it to others who can. I like to recycle and I wear mostly second hand as I feel too much goes to waste in the world, but is it legal?

From my understanding inmates respect you based on your offense. And if I heard right cop killers and strong armed robbers get treated the best while rapists and pedos would do themselves a favor to hang themselves..... what about felony-non support(back child support)

btw, I didn't create that system so if you don't like how its set up, sorry. I don't intend to try to change it when I get there either.

Nation branding has become almost a fashion these days, as opposed to being a conviction as it has always been! Marketers and PR firms are increasingly advising and urging national governments, particularly of developing nations, to embark on nation branding projects, spending millions of dollars. Many have done so. Yet, the rate of success is very very low! Why? Aren’t these gurus simply seeking jobs for themselves, and therefore the fashion-trend, itself, is heading towards failure? Shouldn't nation branding be a silent, but demonstrable culture, instead of being made an obvious orchestrated commercial venture?
